Galway Walks

Everyone loves a sunset. This was a good one on Galway Bay

This is a trial page, not yet running. Galway on Ireland's Atlantic west coast is a modern city, still close to nature, and with a medieval core. Just 2½ hours from Dublin or Dublin Airport it is a great base for a visit to Ireland and a fine destination in its own right. Connemara and the Aran Islands to the west, Galway Bay and the Burren to the south, Lough Corrib and Cong to the north. The city is both ancient and youthful. I guide visitors in the city. My favourite walk is along the waterways and back through time, touching on geography, language, history, culture, wildlife, nightlife and (very important) where to get a good feed.
