The Blackrock Unit covers a major part of the southeast coastal area of Dublin city and county. We have a rich history going back 70 years starting originally in Blackrock College and then moving to the village itself before moving on to Park Road, Dun Laoghaire. We are now relocated

We’re not just looking for medics, we need drivers, marketing team, fundraising team, finance team and much more. There’s a role for everyone here in the Blackrock Unit and we would love to meet you and chat about our roles!

🚨EMERGENCY SERVICES OPEN DAY 2024🚨
Our will be out this Sunday 7th July 2024 for the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Emergency Services Open Day, this Sunday, 7th July 2024 on St Michael's Pier in Dun Laoghaire Harbour as part of in association with Childline by ISPCC
We will be there to show you around our and show you some first aid skills.
We are currently recruiting for a variety of roles including, Drivers, First Aiders and Ambulance Crew, Marketing and Social Media team, Youth Leaders, Admin and Accounts. Please come and talk to our team to learn more and make sure to say hello to our members if you see them out and about!
We look forward to showcasing our unit, skills and equipment and working alongside our colleagues in other voluntary, statutory and emergency services.

A very busy weekend for our with 5 duties for us this weekend. We started with DLR Waves in in the UCD Bowl on Friday night with their fixture against Bohemian Football Club.
We members in Dundrum Town Centre for an event there.
We had members in the Aviva Stadium for for all three nights!

Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Eastern Region
Friday saw us providing an ambulance crew to the 2024 Citizenship Ceremonies where thousands of new citizens officially received their Irish Citizenship. Congratulations on this momentous occasion to many. Our crew also had the chance to meet our Minsiter for Justice Helen Mc Entee. Thanks to all involved.

Did you know it's ? We do and are always safe around water! Josh and Jeanette from Bray and Blackrock Unit on duty at tonight wearing life jackets as they always do when near open water.
Busy busy times for our members this week- we started with racing in Leopardstown Racecourse with our friends in Dundrum and Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Crumlin.
This was followed by being on call for the polling stations across our area on Friday, as the local and European elections took place. That night, we worked with Sedgwick Ireland on a 5k fun run on Sandyford Beach.
On Saturday, we helped our friends in Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Bray at HELL & BACK and had a very busy day. Don’t forget to warm up before physical events!
Today, we have members at the Vote Count in the RDS, who even got to meet an Taoiseach Simon Harris TD. We will debrief at our weekly meeting tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Guardian Angels Community Centre, as well as continuing our training- all welcome!

Last night we had the privilege of been invited to Building Connections Networking event and launch of the DLR PPN Strategic Plan 2024 - 2028 in Talbot Hotel Stillorgan. A very worthwhile event where we made contacts with local projects and initiatives. Thank you to DLR PPN Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Public Participation Network for the invitation.

Today marks the official last day of the Order of Malta International pilgrimage to Lourdes. A fantastic few days with our guests. Candles lit for all intentions.
Last night on the invite from Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Bray some of the Blackrock unit attended a session on Burn Injuries facilitated by Rory Prevett A very interesting evening. One main thing we all left with is - Do a fire drill in your own home especially if you have children or anyone with decreased mobility.

A very busy end to March, and an exciting start to April for our members!
Right after our unit presentation, we jumped into action at an event for .ie at a Blitz in Ticknock, followed by a duty in the 3 Arena, and some Patient Transfers that led us to St Vincent's University Hospital.
We had some work this week, helping someone get to an appointment via ambulance- We are always happy to help those within our community in need.
This week sees us in action in Leopardstown Racecourse not once, but twice- so see you at Leopardstown Student Race Day on Wednesday!
Yesterday, Blackrock Unit had a unit presentation and ambulance blessing at Headquarters in Clyde Road. This included a demonstration of our renewed CFR-Community and CFR-Advanced skills, to show our families why we do what we love. Thank you to all of our guests, including the National Director, Eastern Region Director, our local TD Cormac Devlin TD , Councillor Michael Clark and the Dun Laoighaire Coast Guard, as well as all of those from other units who came to support us.

Yesterday, some of our members went down to Order Of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Rathdrum for a CPC talk from Paddy Bourke about burns safety and treatment. It was very informative, and our instructor extremely engaging, so we hope to see Paddy again soon for another fantastic night! Thanks again to Rathdrum for hosting us.

Another week means another busy weekend for our ! 🚑
Yesterday saw us joining DLR Waves for their final home game of this season in UCD Bowl ⚽️ before today’s International Charity Bazar in the RDS gave us a chance to provide first aid cover ⛑🩹 and also tell attendees all about the wonderful work our organisation does across the country.
We even got a chance to keep raising awareness with some demos through the day!
