Isobel Jordan : Naturopath & Herbalist
"The art of healing comes from nature and not from the physic As a Naturopath, I apply many natural healing tools, e.g.
Bach flower remedies, Tissue Salts, Aromatherapy, Nutrition, Supplements & Herbs. The basic approach of naturopathy is to encourage the body to heal itself. The person is treated as a whole, working from the inside out, looking at the root cause of illness. Gentle detoxing and building the Immune system through nutritious food and healthy lifestyle is the aim. Additionally, I educate and encourage
the patient to take responsibility for, and an interest in their own health. Naturopathy is complementary not alternative to conventional medicine. Good health is more than absence of disease. It is feeling good on a physical, mental and spiritual level and enjoying life to the full! Herbal Medicine
All plants produce chemical compounds as part of their normal metabolic activities. Many of the pharmaceuticals currently available to physicians have a long history of use as herbal remedies, including o***m, aspirin, digitalis, and quinine. Rather than isolating a specific chemical from nature and re-packaging this chemical as a branded pill, Herbal Medicine seeks to understand the therapeutic properties of whole herbs to treating disease and promoting health. What does a treatment consist of? An initial consultation normally takes about an hour. During this time the I will ask questions about your condition, medical history, diet and lifestyle, and any conventional treatments that you may be taking. Once all of the information is gathered, a treatment plan is formulated that addresses all areas of the person’s life, providing the body with the optimum chance to heal itself. The treatment plan may include advice on diet, lifestyle, exercise, herbal medicine, or other suitable remedies.
