Yesterday Monday October 9th. 2023 is a day that will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of all of us here at Divers Hyundai as the news came through of the untimely death of our dear colleague and friend Anthony Murray.
Profound sadness together with a sense of deep shock and disbelief engulfed our Canal Road premises where Anthony a valued member of staff worked as a Sales Executive for almost eight years. As we all tried to come to terms with the devastation news, stories and memories started to filter through tears of sadness as everyone here had their own individual memories of Anthony who in many ways was a private man but whose wittiness and one liners would as the saying goes make a cat laugh, and he certainly made us laugh. The hurdles in life are many and as we face many going into the future without Anthony we can only imagine those that his wife Helen, son Matthew, daughter Leah, mother Margaret, sister Geraldine and the entire family circle to whom we offer our sincere sympathy will have to face in the the most difficult times ahead.

This time last week I had done my slot on Ireland AM, was very grateful for the opportunity and thought that was it. Little did I think that 1 week later … I would be asked to join the team as one of their fashion broadcasters - the goal I’ve worked towards for over 10 years. I’ll be on your weekend screens every so often presenting a fashion segment and feel so proud to be doing this as a Donegal gal 🙌🏼

There’s a lot of grafting when you’re trying to establish yourself in the fashion industry and don’t live in a city but anything is possible when you work hard and believe you’ll get there (eventually 😅)

Foyleside Shopping Centre Fashion, Beauty & Beyond event! 🤩 It was a pleasure to be the stylist again this year for the 60 min makeover winner and what a deserving lady Anne was ☺️ My dress was sponsored by DV8 Fashion and it would also be fab with boots and a belt. Top tip - if you’re wearing a coat with a longer dress, make sure it’s the same length as the dress, this will make you look taller and slimmer. Same with a leather jacket, make sure it’s sitting just on your waistline for the most flattering effect 🌟

Did a quick dash into Primark for dinner tonight and picked up this fab rustic toned dress 🤩 It’s part of the Rita Ora collection and so comfortable on! 🌟 Will be perfect styled casually too with trainers or even boots and a leather jacket. I went for an XL so I’d have room for a belt and it’s a piece you’d definitely bring out of the wardrobe every year ☺️

Anne, our 60 minute makeover winner from yesterday ☺️ The loveliest lady who was a pleasure to style and truly deserved to win this prize. Anne doesn’t like to be too dressy so we went for a smart / casual look and I made sure to include items she’ll be able to style with lots of different pieces in her wardrobe. Full look Dunnes Stores with shoes from OFFICE Shoes. The transformation in her confidence within 60 mins was incredible to watch and that’s the power of personal styling 🌟
