Newgrange Gold is a family business started in 2010 by John Rogers, Barrister and Farmer, and is now managed by his son, Jack Rogers. The business is run from the Rogers’ family farm, that looks over the historic and beautiful Boyne Valley, looking over the Boyne river at Crewbawn.

Having watched Oilseed R**e grown on the Rogers’ family farm leaving in trailers to the local merchant, John saw an opportunity to create a brand that connected the rich and ancient soils of the Boyne Valley and the high-quality food produced there. Newgrange Gold cold press and bottle locally sourced rapeseed and camelina "Wild Flax" seed from the Boyne Valley. 🌾

Newgrange Gold Oils have won a number of accolades including Great Taste awards and Blas Na hEireann awards over the past 8 years and are available in retailers across Ireland and in their online shop. 💚

It’s Pancake Tuesday, and we’re treating ourselves to some homemade pancakes using the Organic Gluten-Free Pancake Mix from the trusty folks at The Merry Mill . 🥞

McBride’s Bees is a small independent bee farm nestled among the trees, fields and hedgerows of Co. Monaghan. McBride’s Bees was founded by Trevor McBride in 2020. He started hobby beekeeping back in 2002 at the age of 14 and always had a passion for all things farming and food related.

He started beekeeping all those years ago to produce quality honey for his granny, who loves honey but also found it extremely difficult to buy Irish honey as most readily available honeys are just blends of industrially produced foreign honey. 🍯

Their native Irish bees pollinate the local wildflowers, hedgerows and meadows. They collect nectar from many different flowers and produce pure raw honey. The flavour of each honey tends to differ slightly each year even differing between hives depending on the given season and the variety of flowers the bees forage on.

They ensure only surplus honey is taken off, assuring that the bees have enough so they don’t need to be artificially fed. This guarantees McBride’s honey is 100% natural raw honey collected by the bees. 🐝

Hailing from Westmeath, Rosaleen Rosaleen's Kitchen always had the job of making scones, apple tarts & cupcakes for the family’s weekend treats. Being 1 of 10 children growing up, she learned to cook and bake at a young age and always remembered it being one of the more enjoyable chores by a mile... for obvious reasons.

After being diagnosed Coeliac in 2010, Rosaleen began coming to terms with the lifestyle changes that accompanied Coeliac Disease. She was out of work at the time and craved a new career path. It was a personally driven decision to create a company that could directly impact Coeliacs in a positive way. The rest is history!

Achill Island Sea Salt is a business run by the O’Malley Family. They were inspired by the long-forgotten tradition of salt production on Achill Island. In the time-honoured style, they started producing sea salt in their own family kitchen back in 2013.

Due to the ever increasing demand for natural sea salt they moved their production to a custom modified facility in Bunacurry on the island in September 2016. This move allowed them to increase production, transforming a local small business to the nationally recognised award winning brand that it is today.
