ahhhh guys where to begin. it's been a crazy journey, ups & downs, tears and meltdowns, laughs and memories! I have genuinely loved it all! every single moment has taught me something, I have grown and expanded in ways I didn't know was possible. from staff to customer, every single one of you have crossed my path for a reason and I feel so so so greatfullllllll !! I was the one in school that didn't believe in myself, never really could study well and found art as my passion, went to NCAD the study fashion where I learnt you could be creative and there was like minded people like me and I wasn't alone and loved it and then went on to be a chef and found pastry as my passion and was like f**k it I'll start a business to create the most amazing cakes and open the 1st walk in vegan bakery and I did that, all the odd were against me but I took a risk and look at the magic I created, with my team by my side and the support from you guys & family and friend none of it would have been possible, so thank you so much, the support has been overwhelming. it's the end of one magical chapter I will cherish forever . thank you from the bottom of my little heart, it could burst with love & joy ! love you all and keep an eye out for what's is coming next # # # love Ciara and the bear lemon team ❤️

lads where do I start . we are closing at the end of on Saturday 2nd or April !! all great things must come to an end for new exciting doors to open. It has been a crazy journey ..to the start let's go back to 2017 when I had nothing but a dream to start my own business & be my own boss , I was just 27 at the time and didn't know what challenges lay ahead of me . I took out my notebook and it all started with a dot on a piece of paper & the passion to bake and create the most beautiful vegan cakes & pastries and I did that , from stocking Dublin city cafes to my own bakery it's been crazy journey, all started in my family home . the ups and downs of business life as you know at the moment things are just crazy with overheads, bills and energy just to name a few and it has forced so many places to close. trust me when I say this bear lemon has not failed but the system has failed me . it's just next to impossible to keep up with bills and keep a physical business open. so I have made the decision to close my doors . it's been one of the most tough decision of my life as I have put so much love and passion into my creation& my incredible team behind me but I am tired of fighting with a system that is so much bigger than me that does not support me nor anything in my business, I am gracefully bowing out and thank you for showing me the lessons, because if I wasn't in it and felt all the feelings, good and bad I wouldn't have seen it so THANK YOU ! I have no idea what next is in store for me but I'm am so excited to step into an unknown space and see what life has to give me . to everyone who has walked through them doors and even before that have supported me I can't thank you enough for supporting me in my dreams. to my team that has been there around the clock making the best vegan cakes this city has ever seen, to past and present staff thank you . to my friends and family by my side when s**t hit the fan .

I don't know where to begin, my heart is broken for and his team . I cried on the way home because this hit hard as it's a reality I face daily. Sam you are an amazing human and a friend and I have known you from the food academy back in the day when we both had a dream of opening a vegan business and we did and what an achievement . Not many take that risk. The crappy climate with electricity going up and cost of goods it's nearly impossible to stay open to no fault of your own and the struggle day in and day out to keep a business open and running is just madness. No one will truly understand the struggle, tears and meltdowns until they become an employer. You my friend are just amazing I am so proud of what you have done and this is just a bump in the road to greater success. Be so proud of what you have done! I am here for you always !! Guys this is the harsh reality for small businesses. So many are closing because it's just impossible with all the increase in everything right now & usually in a small business there is one person running the show to keep it all together and the weight is on their shoulders. So please support Irish & local . Only a while ago I nearly decided to close but I am giving it one more bash to keep my business going because it do know Bear Lemon is a strong business but to succeed with the big companies it's next to impossible but I will not go down without a fight and it will give it my all and passion to make my business the best it can be because I love it . Shout out to , the newest and youngest cub in the bear lemon team. Dara started about a month after we opened as a KP downstairs, he took a keen interest in the coffee and was eager to learn and has made his way up to Barista at Bear Lemon. With no former taining at all taught Dara the basics and now he is flying, milk is spot on and banging out some beautiful latte art.
