That’s the 2 home games done and dusted , a look back on where we came from the day we played Kilkenny in the league on March 16th, the pitch got destroyed on what was an awful days weather wise , it took everyday we had after it to get it back right for the 21st of April , we dug up the corner of the pitch to fix a problem that was created during construction work last year it was holding a lot of water there , we spread sand , aerated the pitch ,over seeded 375kg of seed , fertilised it and a couple of liquid feeds ontop of that. Have a look at the photos below to show the sequence of repair work. Thanks to everyone who helped work on the pitch over the last 6 weeks.

Delighted to get the first game out of the way in Walsh park today heres a look back at the project the project of widening the pitch , was completed in just 8 days and was seeded on the 30th of June with only just over 9 weeks to grow in the new grass for todays game was a pleasure to work alongside renowned pitch builder Garry Flood Landscapes Ltd. & Instant Lawns on this project and would also like to thank Suirside Construction Ltd for respecting the playing field as best of possible during construction as the logistics of this project was very hard. Another hybrid installation this week at Carrick Swan Hurling, Football & Camogie Club. seeded and covered with germination sheeting , the grass will be up in no time if these temperatures keep up. Top class facility’s in the club thanks to Carrick swans for the business.
