What makes me a gujju by heart and soul ?? When I cook up a meal that is gujju to its very core!!!!
Rigan nu oru (aka baigan ka bhartha), kadi, bajri rotla (millet chapati) gajar ka halwa , lasan chutney, safed makkhan (white butter), Desi Gol (jaggery) athelu marchu(pickled chilly)

This is what I call pure indulgence- Dim sums with spicy and tangy dipping sauce and some sautéed veggies topped with sesame, peanuts and green onion for crunch.

Weekend came early this time and we are enjoying a nice packed picnic breakfast.

Comfort food. A day to sit back and enjoy the roots of being a Gujarati. Bhaat (rice), kadhi (currry), tuver ( dried pigeon peas).

Today was a day to master yet another classic Mexican dish - Taquito.
A rolled taco, typically consists of a rolled-up tortilla that contains filling of you he choice. Beans, cheese, veggies etc. The taco is then fried or baked. The dish is often topped with condiments such as sour cream and guacamole.

Food as always transcends boundaries and unites cultures and the world. Here we are enjoying globalisation while sipping our morning Masala Chai (trademark India) Sev Mamra(a classic gujju snack) Bagel ( history has its origin in Central Europe but is now a go to American breakfast) and Paneer Paratha (oh the Punjabi’s in the house go b***e b***e).
My love for food even got stronger !!!!
Craving for something healthy and non fattening well cannot get better than this - Minestrone Soup with pesto and soya patty Sandwich in cauliflower bread. For healthy can be tasty too !!!

Hummus is naturally high in GOOD fat because of its sesame seed and olive oil content but Hummus is low in carbohydrates and is also a fairly good source of plant-based protein and fibre

A late post on woman’s day but we celebrate the spirit of womanhood everyday!!!! It’s 6 pm on 8th March 2021 and I am sipping my pinacolada overlooking the Vegas skyline waiting for the city to bustle again I think to myself of the countless blessings we as women have been showered upon. The strength, the power, the ability to love and nurture, the passion and the zeal ..... the list is long.
To every woman I urge today and everyday keep your passion live and kicking!!! Whether I travel or I cook my passion is what keeps me ticking !!!!

Hungry anyone ??? Have Gaufres... a super quick and refreshing snack.
Made by sandwiching cream between two thin wafers made of flour, sugar, milk, and butter that are then prepared like Japanese senbei wafers. Classic flavours vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate, but the new line “GAUFRES AU GOUTER” come in the 3 flavors of black tea, matcha, and coffee.
Just had a Japanese green tea ( matcha) and simply loved them !!!

A power packed breakfast served just the way I love. Gluten free lactose free Pancakes made with Pancake Almond powder , Almond Milk and Banana and cacao powder ..... (not cocoa so no dairy or sugar)
Topped with Almond Butter and fresh fruits ... Golden kiwi , Straberries, blueberry, banana , dates and pecans!!!!
Who would not like to begin a day like this.... thank you . This was simply good food on the table.
