"Midnight Sky"

Stark contrast, day and night,
One with the sun, one with the stars,
With or without light.
One blends into the other, as I count down the hours,
From molten gold to fireflies stuck in the sky, blinking back the silver light.
They could be close, within my power,
Yet hopelessly far out of sight,
The mighty Hercules, dressed for War,
The graceful Orion, poised for fight.
I lifted my pen, to praise both solar and lunar courts,
Yet my heart finds itself chained in the dark Yet beautiful dungeons of night's abode.
Where the stars shine,
Where Artemis and Luna both reside,
Where the toward North, Ursa Major will guide,
Where it is only darkness, which causes starlight to glow bright,

Life is full of pain,
Yet, it holds a certain beauty,
In its fragmented parts, a steady rhythm,
Consoling the wounded hearts.
Which reflects in the wonders of a midnight sky,
And when today you see the moon, the sparkling white,
Remember you stay taut and alert, all day,
But find rest, comfort, and the blessing of peace,
Only at night.

बिछड़ा वो इस तरह की दोबारा नहीं मिला
फिर उसके जैसा कोई सहारा नहीं मिला।
शम्स-ओ-क़मर की चाह में भटके तमाम उम्र
अंजाम ये की एक भी सितारा नहीं मिला।
नाकाम हसरतों में गुज़ारी है ज़िन्दगी
ता-उम्र हमको कोई हमारा नहीं मिला।
कश्ती भंवर में हमने ख़ुद ही डुबोई है
कैसे कहें की हमको कोई किनारा नहीं मिला।
शिद्दत में ग़म की पी के बहका नहीं कभी
साक़ी की सम्त से भी इशारा नहीं मिला।
खुल ही गया ये राज़ ऐ "इज़्हार" देखिये
क्यों ज़िन्दगी में कोई भी प्यारा नहीं मिला।

Title: Grieving in Silence

They touched my skin and scarred my soul
Couldn't breathe, was in disbelief
Was in shock, in denial
How could it happen to me
But that was the reality
Did everything right, kept my head down
Never crossed a desolate street alone
Yet, it happened to me in the confines of my home
The first time it happened, my mother trusted me with you
I couldn't look her in the eyes
Could not ever tell her, buried the memory at the back of my throat
Always unheard yet at the tip of my tongue
The second instance I was not even alone
Had trusted you like a father,
Confronted you, learnt from my past mistakes
But you brushed it off like a silly mistake
Told people, but they were in denial this time
Now I am a walking ghost
And I wonder if my past is catching with my present
Obliterating the future.

My âme soeur right beside me,
That sweet fragrance deep inside me.
Telling tales of errands ran,
Sending shivers down my psyche.

That aura would me mine,
That smile so fine.

Sitting beside côté de la rivière,
I'll smile.
Tears would roll down my spine,
Yet they they'll be fine.
