After knee, Ankle is the 2nd most complicated joint of the human body. Ankle is a hinge Synovial variety of joint. It comprises of several bones and ligaments for its stability.
It rotates within the plane of axis namely. INVERSION,
EVERSION and
Circumduction.
It contains 3major ligaments
1. Posterior Talo-fibular Ligament
2. Anterior Talo-fibular Ligament
3. Calcaneo-fibular Ligament

Sprains on this ligaments are most common in every sports persons, so it is necessary to every physio's to know its anatomy and biomechanics.
7 Tarsal bones are joint together with inter tarsal joints.

SKULL FRACTURE:
A skull fracture is a type of head injury where there is a break or crack in one or more of the bones in the skull. It can occur as a result of a severe blow or impact to the head, such as a car accident, a fall, or a physical assault.
FACIAL FRACTURE
A facial fracture is a break or crack in one or more of the bones in the face, such as the nose, cheekbones, eye sockets, or jawbone. This type of injury can result from a variety of causes, including sports injuries, car accidents, falls, or physical assaults.

BRAIN INFRACTION
A brain infarction, also known as a stroke, occurs when blood flow to a part of the brain is interrupted, resulting in the death of brain cells in that area. This can be caused by a blood clot blocking a blood vessel in the brain (ischemic stroke) or by a blood vessel rupturing and bleeding into the brain (hemorrhagic stroke).

BRAIN CONTUSION
A brain contusion is a type of traumatic brain injury that occurs when the brain tissue is bruised due to a blow to the head. This can cause the brain to swell, which can result in a range of symptoms depending on the location and severity of the contusion.
Symptoms of a brain contusion can include headaches, confusion, memory loss, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. In more severe cases, a person may experience seizures, difficulty speaking or moving, or loss of consciousness

EPIDURAL HEMATOMA
An epidural hematoma is a serious medical condition in which blood collects between the skull and the outermost layer of the brain called the dura mater. The condition occurs when a blood vessel ruptures, causing bleeding in the epidural space.
The most common cause of epidural hematoma is head injury, such as from a car accident, fall, or assault. Symptoms of epidural hematoma can include headache, confusion, dizziness, loss of consciousness, seizures, weakness, numbness, and vomiting.

AXIS :-
1. X-axis (Coronal axis) :- Which runs from the center of mass( lateral Sacrum S-2) to the upward along the head

2. Y-axis (Vertical axis) :- Which runs from the center of mass to the lateral part of the body

3. Z-axis (Antero-posterior axis) :- Which runs from the center of mass to the front and back(AP) of the body
PLAINS:-
1. Sagittal Plain:- Which divides the body into to halves

2.Frontal Plain:- Which divides the body into front and back (Anterior and Posterior)

3.Transverse Plain:- Which divides the body into upper and lower portion.

↔️Exon severely injured but nerves endoneurium is in intact then it is called axonotmesis, in this case there is a chance of recovery

↔️ Complete physiological demage of entire nerve trunk is called Neurotmesis, in this case there is very poor chance of recovery or may no recovery..

Padiatric ankle fracture is very challenging. Especially when the fracture is in the growth plate.

If a fracture goes through a growth plate, it can result in a shorter or crooked limb. A growth plate fracture affects the layer of growing tissue near the ends of a child's bones. Growth plates are the softest and weakest sections of the skeleton — sometimes even weaker than surrounding ligaments and tendons. In that case there is a high chance of the requirements of removal of the bone.

Most growth plate fractures heal with a cast or splint without complication in three to six weeks. Displaced fractures involving the growth plate usually require a doctor to set (manually realign) the bone, which is then casted or splinted
After surgical procedure, there is high time for proper physiotherapy treatment to avoid malunion, nonunion and other musculoskeletal disorder and deformity.
