With the connection I have with you, I feel I owe you this (pending from long) post. About my move to Chandigarh. Have been getting many many messages wanting to know things (which I couldn’t reply or tbh, sometimes chose not to reply coz it all felt like a lot🙈 scrolling felt easier, I know you understand that hehe 🤣 See how we all are the same. I absolutely love I don’t need to showcase myself as perfect just because I am a coach, yayy to that 💃🤩).

Ok. About the move. (Me to myself - I know you have a lot to share, but focus!! 🙈🤣) So, Have moved to Chandigarh with Mahu. Strangely, There were many questions about yash and I being still together 😲 but, I understand the functioning of human mind🤭😬, so I get it!! Yes, We are. 😊 He’s not here as yet though. So I’m seeing Mahu alone from many weeks now (which wasn’t easy and needed much more self care but guess what there was not even any time and space for even basic self care. So I had to change my relationship with self care and have learnt a lot- more on that later though 😬).!!

We are staying at my mumma’s place for a bit till we figure things out. The reason for the move was work.! And it all happened quickly. Very quickly. Before we could even get time to process it all emotionally. With taking care of a child who herself had a big change, and my full time work, I still have things to process and I couldn’t take care of my own needs.😐

So as I mentioned in my story yesterday, I chose three basic things to do for my self care every day. I asked myself what I absolutely want to do if I know I don’t have time and space for my usual self care activities. Three things came up. First was exercise- it’s the first time I realised that exercise is actually love language for me. It’s a way of saying to my body, I love you. So bare minimum of 30 minutes of exercise (had to do in parts but I did on most days. wasn’t rigid to not miss any day. Yayy to that too🔥😊)

Second was meditation- you know me😬The connection with the higher power is important af!! It’s actually my number one. But this time, my number one was this third one.👇

(Caption too long🙈 contd in comments😍)

Hi 😍 Are you feeling any PRESSURE of this whole new year-new you thing? If yes,I have a story to tell and a confession to make, which might make you feel better. 😉

So, as you know it’s not even funny how many times I have come back to posting here and then gone invisible. 🙈

Last time I came here in November, I remember how happy you were. And I went away without announcing about my break and felt sooooooo bad for doing that because the connection I have with YOU is not a new, shallow one. I know you have been connected with me from so long and so closely.

For the longest time, I thought that it was TIME which was the issue considering my time plate is full with a 2.5 year old, work, home and so much more. This time I wanted to really reflect. It cannot be just time because I know m goood with this time-management thingy now.!! (proud, not boasting though 😬)

And in this break I checked my own old posts. And I got the answer. It was the PRESSURE. Earlier, I was so happy about posting coz I used to write from my heart. And Instagram didn’t say anything VS now when I was doing even this post, it reminded me (interrupted) twice of how I can make a reel instead of this. 🙄

I think I just liked being the one who liked to share her life with you. And my confession is that Instagram’s starry shiny perfection made me try to become a content creator who wanted to match up with those dreamy reels and flawless pictures. So it was the PRESSURE that I wasn’t ever ready for. 😭 (you can be kind to me and send hugs 😂🫂)

And that’s why I decide to take the PRESSURE off. I’ll post when I have something meaningful to say. I’ll let my heart decide if I want to make a reel. They say don’t do long posts. And here I am doing this looooong loooong post. 😎

I am actually happy all this happened. Makes me want to be more authentic here and in my life and this feels so good 😍⭐️🥳

Also, we are having a chill time. yash is baking a cake which I am going to eat on 1st day of the new year 😝 might have some fun outing and do nothing productive. That sounds good actually. 🤩

Just a reminder-You don’t have to do it all from tomorrow. Have a good time tonight, happy new year 🥳❤️

01/01/2023

My new year things👇

🌸 Before that a little review of my 2022 👇

Only two words for 2022, one is gratitude. Other is pride. Lemme talk about gratitude first. Gratitude For Mahu. For motherhood which kinda ruled my 2022. For my exponential growth as a person. For all the hardships which have made me so resilient. For my coaching work which is always full and in waitlist without any marketing. For all the love I receive everyday. There are actually endless things for expressing my gratitude. So I’ll keep it at this.

Then pride. Uff. Where do I even start? My journal is full of how I am proud of myself every single day. Because I have lived 2022 like that. Killed it at motherhood. Took charge of my mind and body health. Gracefully kept away all things instant gratifications like scrolling and media and emotional eating. Ofcourse I had my days. But for most part..!! Shattered so many limiting beliefs, not just for myself but for my clients and many others as well. Impacted lives. Set examples. Lifted myself. Thousands of times. Worked so much on upleveling myself that I am a new person. Oh so proud!

🌸 In 2023, 👇

I want to set more examples. Of strength. Of what’s possible. Of believing in yourself. Of doing it with love. Of not giving up. Of gracefully balancing home, work, fitness, everything. Of prioritising self love. Of returning to simplicity. Of not listening to what they say, but to your inner voice.

And here on the gram, I want to help you achieve whatever you desire from 2023. because you can. And With ease. Happy new year 🥳

I can easily call it ‘Magical brew/tea’ ☕️

Supports gut health like a boss..!! 😎Is gentle to be had everyday. Has helped me and my clients in gas, bloating, indigestion, constipation issues. Provides a good relief if you happen to overeat, but that doesn’t mean to use it as an excuse to overeat 🤨

This soothing brew is best had at least one hour post meals. Or between two meals. Empty stomach is good but doesn’t suit everyone. So see how it suits you 🙃

Do you want me to post more such easy recipes?

And thank you for saving and sharing it 🙂

During mid way of my pregnancy, I was told how things could go wrong and that I should not go ahead with it.. But I heard a voice from inside that said, “Mama, A beach holiday when we meet, please”👶 🏖
Celebrating her birthday today.
Celebrating the power of TRUST and SURRENDER. And celebrating beaches 🏝
Btw, I’ll be back on Instagram from mid JULY. And I can assure it’s going to be worth the wait 😍
Sending love ❤️

Probably you have some guilt from the festive indulgence, probably you don’t. Probably you are somewhere in the middle. It’s all good. 😊It’s your journey and you are allowed to be wherever you are 😍
FEEL that guilt (if you have), but KNOW that it doesn’t serve you. Remind yourself that letting it go would be the best option NOW 🤗
I am here to help you work on eating food of your choice, guilt free and still be fit, healthy and happy 🤗💖
For now, a reminder to eat your regular food 🍱 post indulgence 🌈 I have grown up eating paranthey almost everyday and they still nourish me deeply. (And why not? Coz farm fresh veggies, chakki ka pissa aatta, mummy ka achar and ghar ka desi makkhan)
🌈❤️🤗💖

A question asked quite often👇⠀⠀
🥘 Is ABC food healthy? ⠀⠀
(Is banana healthy?)⠀⠀
⠀⠀
A question asked even more often👇⠀⠀
⠀⠀
🥘 Is ABC food healthier than XYZ food?⠀⠀
(Is brown rice healthier than white rice?)⠀

And there are many such questions👇⠀⠀
⠀⠀
🥘 Does lemon water help in weight loss?⠀⠀
🥘 Isn’t mango fattening? ⠀⠀
🥘 How many nuts to eat in a day? ⠀⠀
🥘 Will I loose tummy if I cut down carbs? ⠀⠀
🥘 But this is low-cal, how’s this unhealthy?⠀⠀
⠀⠀
I want you to know that it’s not your mistake if you are CONFUSED about a lot of things in your everyday food. They do it purposefully. These ‘they’ could be a companies making profits, social media accounts showering incomplete knowledge, (let’s not forget WhatsApp forwards here🤣) ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Take note of some of these points to reduce your confusion 😻⠀
⠀⠀
■No one food is good or bad.⠀
■ Reducing processed food will most likely help😊⠀⠀
■How a meal is prepared and with what ingredients is a better parameter to decide if the meal is healthy or not. 🤪⠀⠀
■Overeating of anything healthy is also not healthy 😂⠀⠀
■You don’t have to be guilty if you sometimes make choices that YOU KNOW aren’t good for you.😋 ⠀⠀
■It won’t kill to miss protein element or veggies in one meal but it’s good to add these more. 🍲 ⠀⠀
■let’s not fear fruits🍎 ⠀
■(digestion/Agni) The quantity of your food depends a lot on it. (On most days, I eat more than yash 😂)⠀⠀
■Fresher over stale.⠀
■Balanced meals (with all macros and micros) over cutting something completely.⠀
■VARIETY over limited choices. You’ll be surprised how it transforms your health.⠀
■When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Choosing local will help your body in the long run but using those expensive blueberries once in a while won’t hurt🤪⠀⠀
■Seasonal. You know when something is double the price and not tasty. 😅⠀⠀
■IMPORTANT: Choose food which you LOVE TO EAT. And see food as food. It comes to you with a lot of hard work of sooooo many people. Thank those and be grateful for the food on your plate. Gratitude over guilt 😎 ⠀

Not using extreme words like ‘NEVER’ and ‘ALWAYS’ 🙅‍♀️⠀

👀 From now on, I am NEVER going to eat processed foods and sugar.⠀
👀 I am ALWAYS going to pick a fruit for my mid meal.⠀
👀 I am going to add greens to my meals EVERY SINGLE DAY.⠀

💥⚡️ How stressful (and unrealistic) these situations are? 🤷‍♀️🙊 ⠀

So when my mindset was like that a few years back, whenever (due to any reason) I ended up crossing my already-unrealistic-and-unfair boundaries, I used to feel GUILT. ⠀

🌿 Ayurveda has healed me immensely, but being a foodie, I could not always cook according to ayurvedic combinations.⠀
🌿 I love all fruits, but I also love to dig in a jar of ice-cream at midnight sometimes. ⠀
🌿 Using Maida and frying might not the best of choices, but only a samosa lover knows that baked atta samosa is not the real thing. 😂⠀

❤️ How I am finally at peace with all kinds of food? ⠀

Lemme tell you that there’s nothing which I don’t eat or have eliminated from my diet. 🙃⠀

🍱 By choosing nourishing foods most of the time and eating not-so-nourishing foods some of the times. (whenever I want to, whatever I want.) ⠀

Surely, it wasn’t an overnight change. It’s taken its sweet time. But, It’s that simple now 😍⠀

■ I would love to know if you feel guilt around food? Also, there are a few other things which helped me remove guilt around food. Would you want me to share more on this?

Do you eat with gadgets? 🥘 🍱 📱 📺 ⠀

Constant ‘busyness’ of our minds makes it so difficult to be ‘still’ and ‘silent’. That’s the reason we keep ourselves distracted with external things (in this case, using gadgets while eating), just in an attempt to avoid being with our real selves.⠀😲

While no amounts of external things will ever give you lasting joy, we still chase them. When all we need is to move our gaze INWARDS. Slow down and sit with YOURSELF. ⠀👱‍♀️

It’s difficult? Initially yes, coz we have gone too far away from our own selves. But trust me, the best thing you would do to be happier is to find some moments of stillness and find yourself in them. Why not start with eating one meal mindfully? Coz no amounts of self love activities will bring love when you don’t even know who this ‘self’ is..!! 📱⠀

That’s my khichdi meal, prepared and eaten with love and joy 😊❤️ ⠀

Timeline photos 22/02/2021

If I would be eating Chole bature, (or anything which is easy to put in ‘unhealthy food’ category), ⠀

8-9 years back - when I was just lost, I would just eat it mindlessly. Won’t feel anything. (Corporate life, running/chasing all day, food/meal time was often neglected or over consumed 🙆‍♀️)⠀

5-6 years back - when I was on the track of eating right, I would not eat it or would resist it. ⠀
(Because I would just think it’s plain unhealthy)⠀

3-4 years back - when I was all fit and nice, I would eat it but feel guilty for sometime. (I would know it’s fine to have it in moderation, but would not stop feeling guilty after having it.)⠀

Now - When I am in a beautiful relationship with food, I would eat it with pure joy and gratitude, relishing every bit. ⠀

Monday morning breakfast was this gorgeous platter 😊💁‍♀️ For me, this is week started right. ⠀

Mild face scrub recipe 💁‍♀️⠀

■ 1/2 cup oats⠀
■ 1/4 cup almonds⠀
■ 14 cup walnuts⠀
■ A few strands of kesar⠀

Add all the ingredients to a dry mixer blender and pulse it a few times to a medium coarse powder. Store in an airtight container. ⠀

When you want to use, add a tsp of this powder to a base of choice. You can try milk, curd, rose water, diluted lemon juice, malai, coconut milk etc. as per your skin type. ⠀

❤️ Very mild circulation motion with fingers is always a best bet while scrubbing the delicate skin of the face. Be gentle 🪴⠀

❤️ This can also be used like a face pack 💁‍♀️⠀

❤️ If the mask/scrub doesn’t come along together, let it soak in the liquid for a few mins and make sure you add very little liquid and not too much. Or else it will be runny. 🥸⠀

❤️ One lesson I have learnt with face scrubs is that less is more. Earlier I used to add ten different things to them and use them too often (both the things didn’t serve me). Less Ingredients and using them just once a week works just fine for me 😊 how about you? 💁‍♀️⠀

How I managed my social media time? 📲💁‍♀️⠀

You know I have been actively working on using my phone mindfully from a very long time now. ⠀

I wanted to share what has helped me and what not. (In case it helps any one of you 😊❤️) ⠀

What all has worked?⠀

■ No phone 2 hours after waking up and 1 hour prior to sleeping. Mostly, I try to use my phone between 10 am to 8 pm only.⠀

■ ‘Becoming aware’ of the urge to pick up my phone or open Instagram when I don’t have a very strong reason to do that. Once you are aware, you can make a choice. But the first step is becoming aware. Meditation has been of great help in this. ⠀

■ Reminding myself often that I am not missing out on anything if I don’t see all those stories. But definitely missing on life if I am glued to my phone. ⠀

■ Doing more of what I really love to do. A lot of things which actually make me forget to even look at my phone.⠀

■ This is an important one. I allow myself to consciously use social media whenever I want to. Like I tell myself, ok feel free to scroll away for the next ten mins hehe. ⠀

■ Replying msgs at one time, rather than replying whole day. This one was a game changer but has been compromised a bit lately. I want to start doing it again though. ⠀

■ My page is to help others. But it takes work to create content. Lots of pics of everyday things means easily losing on mindfulness in that moment. So for that, I try to take pics together, and post them all a little later. Like after completing my meal, putting up all the stories for cooking that meal. ⠀

■ Not carrying my phone everywhere. I started this with my evening walks but have now extended it to going out, date nights, etc. ⠀

■ 45 minutes time limit on Instagram. I might slowly want to reduce it to 30ish mins. Let’s see 😊⠀

■ Weekend Instagram breaks and now ‘whenever I want to take a day off Instagram’ breaks have been immensely helpful. ⠀

All things said, Being kind to myself is a priority and I am not harsh on myself if I want to take it easy some day 😊 Social media is a beautiful place, if used right ❤️🌈💁‍♀️ I am happy to experience sunrises without feeling the urge to post it on the gram. 🎈

Beetroot & sweet potato chips🍟⠀

These days, I am totally obsessed with trying baked veggies in chips style 💁‍♀️🍟😋 And loving the PROCESS more than the end result.⠀

Tried banana, potato, beets and sweet potato recently and have lots of veggies and even greens on my mind. Have been using oven, but still not sure of the settings, temperature and duration. ⠀

Any tips welcome if you have been doing these veggies chips? ⠀

Making good use of yesterday’s anniversary flowers for my breakfast pic today 😍💁‍♀️⠀

■ Beetroot chilley: moong dal soaked overnight. Ground with garlic, green chilli, beetroot and salt in the morning. Cooked till nice and crispy in some coconut oil 😋💁‍♀️⠀

■ Tomato Bhindi: Mustard seeds and jeera spluttered in some mustard oil. Bhindi and tomato added. Slit green chilli and crushed garlic added with some salt, haldi, coriander powder, black pepper powder and red chilli.⠀

Prepared under 20ish mins and loved how tasty and nourishing it was. Also, those colours of nature on my platter, taking time to involve all my senses to enjoy my meal 💁‍♀️⠀

Also, don’t be afraid to use OILS and GHEE in your food. It’s best to use cold pressed ones which are high on nourishment and of of course you wanna use them in moderation to reap the benefits 😍 For coconut oil, I am so happy to have come across ,
I haven’t found a more superior quality 🙏⠀

Snacking ideas 💁‍♀️🍓⠀

(Though it was my breakfast today 😎) ⠀

1. Onion 🧅, tomato 🍅, cucumber 🥒 with some salt and seasonings🧂. Topped with basil leaves. Over a slice of sourdough done in Evoo on a tawa. (I would have loved some हरी dhaniya chutney here but didn’t have coriander 🌿) ⠀

2. Masala tofu with some paprika on a slice of sourdough bread 🍞 (tofu is home made from soybeans, would you like the recipe?)⠀

3. Classic one. Peanut butter, banana and some desiccated coconut + some pearls of pomegranate + some cacao nibs 😋❤️⠀

4. Layer of ginger honey. Loaded with strawberries 🍓 and a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds. ⠀

Banana Strawberry Icecream kinda treat 💁‍♀️🍧😋⠀

Though it’s yummy, lemme tell you, it’s not a proper ice-cream. Just a healthier alternative to it. 😊🍧 I love it coz it’s nutrient packed, tasty and can have it more often than a real ice-cream 🤣🤣⠀

Ingredients:- ⠀
■ 1 ripe 🍌 ⠀
■ A cup of strawberries 🍓 (sweeter the better)⠀
■ Blueberries, optional (if you are lucky to find some and inexpensive ones 🤣) ⠀
■ Milk 🥛 / nut milk 3-4 Tbsp
■ Honey or sweetener of choice - as per taste⠀

How to prepare? ⠀
1• chop all the fruits on a plate/tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for 4 hours or overnight. (As shown in the pic)⠀
2• Remove from the freezer and blend them in a high speed blender, continuously scraping off the sides using a spatula. Add sweetener and milk spoon by spoon as needed. The icecream should be ready (like a soft serve) in 7-10 mins. (You’ll see it 😍😋)⠀
3• You can choose to have it as it is or freeze it again by putting the soft serve in a freezer-safe box and freezing again for min 4 hours to overnight. Just remove it from the freezer 5-7 mins before you want to have it and scoop out 😊💁‍♀️😋⠀

■ Don’t shy away from experimenting with the toppings while serving. Roasted nuts, seeds, coconut shreds, granola, more fruits, nut butters, coconut butter all go well with it 😍✅⠀
