In a commendable display of professionalism, BHQ Boniyar has once again proven its commitment for providing high-quality healthcare. A fifth gravida female just on admission in Gyne ward developed sudden convulsions (eclamptic seizures), and thanks to the swift and skilled intervention of Dr Mudabir Farooq Medical Officer,Dr Mir Waseem MD Medicine , Dr Ayaz Mohi-u-din Wani Medical Officer and Sr Jatinder Kour ANM along with other supportive staff the situation was effectively managed under proper supervision /Guidance of Block Medical Officer Boniyar Dr Kursheed Ahmad Khan .The patient was referred to GMC Baramulla and ANM Jatinder Kour and Gulshan Akhter were deputed along with the patient in the same ambulance keeping in view the urgency and labour stage of patient (fully dilated ).Dr Aqib,Medical Officer, was also accompanying in another vehicle.The dedicated team ensured the safe delivery of the mother on the way to Government Medical College Baramulla in the ambulance itself,on the way to GMC.
Both the mother and the newborn are reported to be in good health.The amulance driver Aijaz Khan played a key role.

This marks the second instance within a week where the staff at Primary Health centre Boniyar has demonstrated exceptional medical expertise. Such accomplishments have proven the effective administrative skills of Block Medical Officer Boniyar, highlighting the Centres commitment to ensuring the well-being of the community.

*Former SSP Shot Dead By Militants In Barmulla*

Srinagar, December 24(GNS) Former Senior Superintendent of Police Mohd Shafi Mir was shot dead by militants in Gantmulla area of Baramulla district on Sunday morning.

Officials told GNS that militants fired upon Former SSP Mohd Shafi while he was entering the Mosque near his residence.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. More details will Folllow.(GNS)

*Sopore Murder Case Solved : Wife, Her Boyfriend Held*

Sopore, Dec 1: The murder case in Sopore has been solved, with the police arresting the wife and her boyfriend as the prime suspects.

Official sources told Kashmir Despatch that within hours of the incident, the police successfully cracked the case of 50-year-old Reyaz Ahmad Mir’s murder in north Kashmir’s Sopore.

He said Mir’s family had reported him missing on Friday morning, and after an extensive search, his body was discovered in a small water-filled trench.

The police promptly arrested the wife and her boyfriend, bringing the investigation to a swift conclusion.

The police are scheduled to provide a detailed briefing on the case to the media tomorrow.

At present, two individuals, the wife and her boyfriend, have been taken into custody sources further added.(API)

Awami Darbar of DGP postponed

Srinagar Dec 1st, 2023 (RNA): In view of a few unforeseen and unavoidable official engagements, the grievance redressal programme scheduled to be held on 2nd Dec 2023 at Police Headquarters, Srinagar, is hereby postponed. The next date of this grievance redressal meeting at PHQ Srinagar will be communicated separately.

This information is shared so that the people who desire to meet DGP, J&K Shri R. R. Swain at Srinagar tomorrow do not face any inconvenience.

People are once again requested that before meeting the DGP, J&K they should ideally have exhausted the option of approaching junior police units who are responsible for redressing grievances.

Appeals people not fell to vicious designs of the anti-national/anti-social elements

Jammu, Nov 30: After taking cognizance of uploading offensive content by a student, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched the investigation which will be taken to logical conclusion and no one would be allowed to hurt the religious feelings of any community, and nobody will be allowed to use this incident for malicious purposes either. This was stated by Director General of Police, J&K, Shri R.R. Swain at a press briefing at the Police Control Room here this morning.

At the very outset, the DGP said that we respect the honour and dignity of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the police is well aware of its duties and responsibilities to take action against anyone trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere. He appealed to the general public that they should not fell to vicious designs of the anti-national/anti-social elements who by taking undue advantage of this incident are attempting to disturb the communal harmony and brotherhood for which Kashmir is known from ages together. He said that, police has registered a case regarding the uploading of offensive content, investigation is on, evidences are being collected and assured that the case will be taken to logical conclusion.

Shri R.R Swain informed that, after discussions with the law officers and approval from the competent authority, law will be made operational here under 144 Criminal Procedure Act under which action will be taken against those uploading, sharing videos, posts, texts, audio on social media having potential to trigger communal frenzy, promote terrorism, separatism etc adding that by these activities at times people’s life get disturbed, businesses get affected schools/colleges get closed and whole system gets disrupted.

The DGP said that J&K police is also investigating the people who by taking undue advantage of the incident are trying to disturb the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we have to make a distinction between the innocent statement and the statement issued with the malicious intentions.

To a query regarding attempts by Pakistan to vitiate the atmosphere here, the DGP said that there is no doubt in it, a number of messages are being designed from across the border and circulated on social media adding that some people here are using these messages to disturb the peaceful atmosphere. Some people get benefitted from these activities which he said is a known fact and sought cooperation of the people to foil these evil conspiracies.
