Today is World Kidney Day, a day to raise awareness about kidney health as kidney diseases are rising in young people. Did you know that kidney disease is now the 6th fastest-growing cause of death?
On this day, we celebrate the successful completion of a complicated transplant surgery in a young 35-year-old individual. The surgery was made possible by the selfless donation of a kidney from the individual's mother, which was removed laparoscopically.
