Last week, I had the privilege of being invited to the Induction Day at KIT. I addressed an audience of over 700+ future engineers emphasizing the importance of Embracing for in the AI era. As automation and AI redefine workplace dynamics, the future belongs to those who can seamlessly blend technical prowess with human-centric abilities.
Soft skills are the unsung heroes in the world of engineering, serving as the key to unlocking full potential. Skills such as , , and are the building blocks of a mindset crucial for innovators.
But how can one learn these skills faster? The answer is simple:

1. Start by utilizing existing resources in your own ecosystem—Observe mentors, connect with industry experts, explore LinkedIn, join relevant forums, and practice their techniques.
2. Be curious, read articles related to the topic, and explore relevant podcasts.
3. Maintain journals, as writing structures thoughts.
4. Occasionally explore relevant courses outside of engineering books.
5. Accelerate by engaging in any form of art, sports, music, or any diverse skill set that brings enjoyment. Engaging in diverse activities enables our neurology to initiate cross-mapping, where skills and knowledge from one area enhance our abilities in another. So, by exploring different interests, one can supercharge the capacity to learn faster and leverage skills & and capabilities to explore and .

Also, sharing behind-the-scenes look at how I crafted the content:

1. : At the heart of any impactful message is a compelling story. I began by sharing my own journey and experiences, making the topic relatable to the audience.

2. What, So What, Now What: What - I began by explaining what soft skills are and why they matter. So, What - Significance & How do these skills act as a bridge between knowledge and impact? This allowed me to delve deeper into the subject, uncovering the underlying reasons and making a solid case for why these soft skills matter. Now What – Provided actionable steps to learn and explore further

3. Rule of 3: We remember things in threes. I structured my talk around three key points: communication, creativity, and problem-solving. This simple yet effective technique ensures clarity and memorability.
4. Delivery: Personal stories to connect, a touch of humour to engage, and a few seconds of high-energy music to set the tempo.
5. Area of Improvement: I need to work on my time allotment between topics.

Extending my heartfelt thanks to Dr Mahalakshmi KITfor giving me this opportunity to interact with bright minds.

Ever had a conversation that led you to explore more than you had ever thought possible?
Seems like it's happening to me more often nowadays—or perhaps it always was, and I just didn't tune into it properly… haha.
A few years ago, one such conversation changed my life, and for the better, too.
Imagine this: it's just after your project has been signed off and is about to go live. Your client turns to you with a deep, resonating tone and says, "I see your passion and skill in helping people grow. Carry this treasure with you wherever life takes you." Coming from a client who had worked closely with me, those words held immense value. Right after this incredible moment, a team member approaches and shares her learning journey in a new domain. I can't recall the exact date, but that was the day the seeds were planted for taking the LEAP.
The backdrop of the 2015 Chennai floods provided the perfect setting for the "Explore the Unknown" initiative.
Getting motivated and leaving a full-time, well-paying job was a breeze, but figuring out WHAT TO DO next was far from easy.
Where do I even start? How do I begin? Who should I reach out to? I spent endless hours scrolling through Google to find courses to enroll in or mentors to guide me through the journey.
If you've been in my shoes, you know exactly what I mean. 😊
Honestly, before I delved into the world of training, I never realized that running a training business could be this challenging. I learned this the hard way, through the most eye-opening experiences in my entrepreneurial journey.
Unpleasant collaborations, Vendors disappearing, Crafting my first session plan, Pouring hours into creating content, only to have it rejected by a client, Crying my heart out over rejections.
I made more mistakes than I could have ever imagined and faced more setbacks than moments of glory.
But with time, I learned from these mistakes, and I'm grateful for every single one of them. Through them, I gained insights into people and entrepreneurship that no course could have taught me. And there's still a long road ahead.
My first "Eureka!" moment on this journey came when I landed a major independent project—an end-to-end process training for a outsourcing giant. From creating SOPs to seeing the project go live, I combined my wealth of operational experience and delivered a project that not only brought in another confirmed lead but also gave me the much-needed assurance that I could succeed in this domain.
What keeps me moving forward?
Respect for individuals, Integrity, And the financial planning lesson my mother imparted to me.
And now, when participants come back after a couple of years and share their success stories—how the strategies we discussed during training are still benefiting them—it reaffirms my belief. I'm glad I CHOSE to do what I Do.

So, have you ever had a conversation that led you to EXPLORE the unknown ? What did it lead you to explore?

Wish I knew this secret before .

Writing is the fastest way to improve communication skills. Here I am not referring to language skill but one's ability to transfer thoughts emotions effectively to his/her audience.

Writing forces you to slow down and structure your thoughts , consistently over time makes you structured thinker . Structured thinking makes you better communicator.

Writing helped me in clarifying my own thoughts ,understand my own ideas and beliefs. Evaluating information lead to refined researching skills.

Last six months I included writing in my schedule and I can see huge shifts in my thought patterns.

Be it just random thoughts, plans , courses , content, journal stories or just day's experience. You got to start somewhere with something as a starting point

If you are someone looking forward to improve your communication skills....START WRITING TODAY

CHOICE

Couple of years back I made some CHOICES

To start from scratch
To push boundaries
To do better than yesterday
To unlearn n learn
To explore unknown territories

One of the most important lesson I have learned so far is

"Do something that makes you happy"

You will figure out a way to bounce back , if you are happy with your CHOICES. Then its a journey with lows and high, which you will CHERISH everyday

Every child is Unique !

Baby steps towards journey to impact million lives . Every child is blessed with capabilities but as we grow our Education system grades us performers vs non performers .

With repetitive grading and constant comparison child starts to believe that may be he/she doesn't have what to it takes to experience bliss of education .

We work with children to help them realize true potential , develop capabilities that empowers them to experience bliss of joyful learning.

Feel like giving up? Things are not going the way you planned?

This was my state this afternoon.

I started working on something new a couple of days back. Was expecting that to be up and running within few days.

Turns out i underestimated knowledge of technology to get this baby up and running.

I was indeed frustrated, my old self would have dropped it immediately and accepted that "I can't do this"

But instead, I chose to divert my mind to my small win to keep me going.

Negativity has no place in my thoughts.

Avoiding something for weeks ?

Yes, I am talking about that task, which you know is important.

Which eventually you will have to complete at some point in time.

For example,
🙄 Revise study material
🙄 Update resume
🙄 Complete pending certification
🙄 Organise wardrobe
🙄 Clean kitchen drawers
🙄 Finalize business plan
🙄 Plan content strategy for your brand

And many more....

You cannot avoid such tasks as they might be a key contributor to your career or in the quality of your life.

Despite knowing value, why you have been avoiding these tasks?

Heart to heart we know the reason, isn't it ?

We don't want to face an unpleasant experience. Avoidance is the best refuge from experiencing unpleasantness. With time we adopt avoidance as a defence.

Let's break this cycle today

Try 5 minute rule

Start a task, do it for just 5 minutes. If after 5 minutes you feel horrible and want to stop, just stop. Attemp it again for 5 minutes tomorrow

Most people find, that after 5 minutes of doing something, it's easy to continue until the task is done.

Setting the intention and starting is the usually the hardest part.

Yes the first 5 minutes are the hardest part.

But once you start, you won't stop !

Are you struggling with inconsistency? You start with all enthusiasm but give up after few days?

Despite knowing what to do? How to do it? When to do it? Some of us struggle to be consistent. The struggle is real!

We all have gone through it at some point in our lives. I have struggled with inconsistencies but never ceased to look for solutions. In pursuit of understanding the reason behind inconsistencies. A few weeks back, I learned the concept of introducing Tiny Habit in my daily routine.

I followed 4 easy steps to include a new habit in my schedule, without any reminder or conscious effort.

1) Decide a new habit - Let's say exercise/beauty routine. Squats, Skipping, beauty regime, Reading, Completing assignments, Tender plants etc. Anything you have been looking forward to starting

2) Tie up with an old & reliable habit. Create an anchor with old and & reliable habits. Old and reliable habits are activities we do on auto mode.

Few examples of activities we do on auto mode, irrespective of the time.

• Getting up in the morning
• The first meal of the day
• Reaching home post completing outside work
• Completing office hours
• Last meal of the day
• Daily prayers

Remember, Consider a reliable and old habit that is part of your schedule.

Do not choose the "before" habits. Like before starting for office / before lunch/ before 8 pm etc

3) Start immediately within 20 Seconds. If you don't take action within 20 seconds, you may not do it at all

4) Start with 20 Seconds, increase the duration later

Here's how implemented Tiny Habits,

1) Started with Jumping jacks ( Exercise, New habit )
2) Immediately After getting up in the morning (Old and Reliable habit )
3) Within 20 seconds (Time Gap ) of getting up in the morning (Old and reliable habit )
4) Started with 20 Seconds repetition, increased the duration by each day

By applying this concept, I created a pattern of exercising daily. It worked for me, as our brain adapts to small changes with ease than drastic changes we push on selves

You can create your own pattern for various habits you are trying to include in your routine. Let me know if you need my help in identifying a routine for you
