The Summit of Civil20 (C20), an official Engagement Group of G20, is going to be held in Jaipur over three days from July 29-31, 2023. The event will present the policy recommendations developed by its 16 Working Groups after extensive discussions with civil-society organisations and policymakers worldwide over the past over eight months.
Prominent dignitaries will attend the inauguration of the C20 Summit, including Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Defence, Govt. of India; Smt Shakuntala Rawat, Cbabinet Minister of Rajasthan; Amma, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Chair, C20; and H.E. Mr. Federico Salas Lotfe, Ambassador, Embassy of Mexico; Shri Abhay Thakur, G20 Sous-Sherpa; Core Committee Members Sri M, Sri M Satsang Foundation; RMP (Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini) Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations; and Dr. Nivedita Bhide of the Vivekananda Kendra; and C20 Sherpa Shri Vijaya K. C20 Inception Meeting - Inaugural Ceremony - Nagpur - Live
Civil20 is one of the official Engagement Groups of the #G20 that provides a platform for Civil Society Organizations (CSO) around the world to voice the people’s aspirations to the world leaders in G20.
In this Inception Conference, experts will discuss the themes of various Working Groups. The Working Group coordinators will also present the concept notes of their respective themes along with a description of their activities.
C20 India 2023 Inception Meeting is an opportunity to highlight the positive role by civil societies in all spheres of life and how their activities have contributed to the overall development of the society along with formulating a value system that is in line with Indian culture and tradition. Bringing together representatives of CSOs, eminent social activists, academicians, policy practitioners and representatives of the government, the C20 India 2023 Inception meeting will explore the issues which are significant in the understanding of the role of CSOs in realization of a better society. The #C20 India 2023 Inception meeting is an apt forum to present recent, past, and proposed initiatives of the CSOs including those which are in line with the objectives of the Indian Presidency of the G20s.
