Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized computer graphics workshop for students of 6th semester on 10-6-2023.Dr B N veerappa was the Chief Guest for the event.The resource person Dr K Shivanna addressed the students about basics functions of computer graphics and conducted hands on session of CG miniproject .Ms Archana K N Coordinated the event .

Dept.of CS&E organized an Online Webinar on World IPR Day under the banner IIC on 09.06.2023 for the 4th and 6th sem students. The Resource person Mr.R Arun Kumar addressed the students about the importance of IPR and its function . Mrs.Manjula P and Mrs.G C Divya Co-ordinated the event

Dept. of CS&E organized One Day Workshop on "Mobile Application Development using Firebase" on 19th May 2023 for 6th semester students. Resource persons Ms. Vidya B H and Ms. Shwetha A R delivered the technical talks along with the handson sessions. Dr. Azizkhan F Pathan and Prof. Manjula P co-ordinated the event.

Department of CS&E organized a one day industry visit to Indian Institute of Science(IISC), Bangalore for the third semester students. Prof. Archana K N, Prof. Manjula P and Mr. Jagadesh H S coordinated the industry visit.

Python mini project Exhibition conducted as a course activity for 5 semester students on 13 January 2023. Prof.Meghana Gr,prof archana KN.prof Usha k evaluated the project's.

"Model preparation and presentation on data structures and applications" was organised by Prof.Usha K on 20/01/2023, where students prepared models on Data structures and applications course, and presented it.

Model presentation and poster presentation was organised on Unix programming and Automata theory computability for 5th sem students on 18/01/2023

"Ganakotsava," is a technical event which is an activity-based revolutionary paradigm for counseling process Twelve technical competitions were planned in the event, in which students contested on behalf of their counseling group and won and earned points. Each winning team in each event earns 100 points, first runner up team earn 75 points and second runner up team earns 50 points. At the end of Ganakotsava 2022, the group with highest points was announced as winners and a rolling trophy was awarded for their team.

Task Based Innovative Teaching Method
Application Development using Python(18CS55) is a programming oriented subject. Where students will learn basics of python programming. Data structures like List,string,tuple,Dictionory.how to handle exception, create file, open with read and write mode. Since subjects don’t have lab session,inorder to make better understanding of concepts, and programming apart from syllabus task were given to students daily based on the concepts covered in the class. Following are the tasks given to the students.

Lecture Method and Interactive Learning:
 Audiovisual aids, chalk, and board are used by the faculty for teaching.
 Students are encouraged to clarify their doubts, during the lecture hour itself.
 During the lecture hour, first 5 minutes are used for revising topics taught in the previous class that too done by the students and the last 5 minutes is used to give a summary of the topic of next class. Hence the students will get continuity of the previous day topics.

Teaching Learning Process for Application Development using Python

To teach application development using python along with conventional method experiential learning method is also incorporated to make the understandability easier, clear to excel their performance. In the experiential learning method we use online compliers such as Programiz, PyDev,PyCharm,Sublime Text,Thonny,Visual Studio Code,Vim.research google colab. Soon after delivering the topic by conventional method, students are asked to execute the programs using online compilers. The students develops mini project as a part of assignment, then the projects are kept for project exhibition to encourage the lower semester’s students.

7th semester students of CS&E visited Anaji .given insights to the farmers regarding rural outreach programme.

7th semester students of CS&E visited govt high school,Kalapanahalli on 22/12/2022 gave insights to school students to achieve good results and enhance their enrollment in higher education.

7th semester students of CS&E visited Devarbeligere with the Theam smart garbage collection to rise awareness among local community.

7th semester students of CS&E, visited govt high school, Harihar. Educated students about the strategies to get good results as well as to focus on higher education.
