I am Rachna Mehrotra, a chef, an entrepreneur, and the founder of The Delicacy Kitchen. At the age of 50, I am finally pursuing my lifelong passion for cooking with 'The Delicacy Kitchen'.

Over the years, I have seen people getting tired of the same old generic restaurant food. The oily food cooked with stale vegetables and adulterated ingredients is not we truly like! That's when it struck me, what's better than restaurant style food crafted at home! The Delicacy Kitchen is a concept to create the restaurant delicacies with fresh, hand-picked, authentic ingredients!

My journey goes back to being a 15-year old girl in Mussoorie. Experimenting in the kitchen, exploring a variety of flavors, and curating my own recipes have added to my experience. To share my learnings with others, I started my cooking classes in Benaras. In no time, a group of 5 turned into a batch of 100 and my delicacies became a must-try.

Now, I am back to Dehradun, where it all started, finally giving shape to my dream and taking it to the next level with The Delicacy Kitchen.

This recipe was passed down to me from my mother who always served it to the guests on special occasions.Her kitchen was filled with love and she inspires me to cook from the heart, which I think is the secret of the delicacies prepared by me.Unconsciously I learnt this recipe while chattering with her in the kitchen.Today my Khasta aloo is a hot favourite of all who have tasted it.In the present scenario when everyone talks about healthy food it came as a big surprise when I start receiving repeated orders from the diet conscious people,may be because of the amount and quality of oil that is used during the preparation.So if you are one of them who hasn't tried ,order once and I am very sure you will crave for more.
