On 4th May 2024, Pro Bono Club, Law College Dehradun in collaboration with Legal Aid Centre, Law College Dehradun organized a Certification Course on the Nuances of Legal Aid and ADR in India 2.0. The event was graced by the benign presence of the Chief Guest and keynote speaker Mr. Vikas Singh, Sr. Advocate, The Supreme Court of India, Former President Supreme Court Bar Association and Former Additional Solicitor General, Govt. of India.

उत्तराँचल विश्वविद्यालय के प्रो वाईस चांसलर श्री राजेश बहुगुणा जी ने सभा को सम्बोधित करते हुए चुनाव एवं मतदान की अहमियत को समझाया और साथ ही साथ उदाहरणों के माध्यम से आज के समय मए मतदान कितना आवशयक है इस तथ्य पे भी प्रकाश डाला।
साथ ही साथ राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना इकाई , प्रो बोनो क्लब एवं विधिक सहायता केंद्र को धन्यवाद करते हुए अपनी वाणी को विराम दिया

कार्यक्रम के अंत मए श्रीमती सुनीता जदुनि जी ने सभा मए मौजूद सभी लोगो मतदान शपथ दिलाई एवं सभी बालिग़ व्यक्तियों से मतदान करने के लिए आग्रह करा ।

On 19th February 2024, the Legal Aid Centre in collaboration with the Pro Bono Club organized a legal awareness camp at Junior High School situated in Aamwala, Dehradun which aimed at ascertaining the social and legal issues faced by the students as well as the school administration along with the local citizens of that region. The camp was designed to offer legal education and support to both the children and the school’s management. The camp was successfully conducted in the presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Pro Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dean, Law College Dehradun, Director, Legal Aid Centre and Nodal Officer, Pro Bono Club, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna. Principal, Law College Dehradun, Dy. On February 10th 2024, the Legal Aid Centre and Pro Bono Club, Law College Dehradun, in collaboration with the Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, organized a legal awareness camp at Panchayat Bhawan Shivpuri, Gram panchayat, Hariyawala Klan, Vikash Khand- Sahaspur, Dehradun. The camp held successfully in the presence of esteemed dignitaries including the Head, Law, Law College Dehradun Prof. (Dr.) Radheshyam Jha and Chairperson, Legal Aid Centre and Faculty-in-Charge, Pro Bono Club, Mr. Abhiranjan Dixit and Assistant Prof. , Law College Dehradun, Mr. Amit Chaudhary. The primary aim of the event was to educate the community on various legal issues and promote social responsibility. The event featured several activities, including a Nukkad Natak (street play) on drug and alcohol awareness, outreach health services, and collecting the information of the people living there along with their thumb impressions.

The Event was initiated in the presence of SHO, Premnagar Police Station and Pro Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Nodal Officer, Pro Bono Club and Director, Legal Aid Centre, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna.

The event consisted of Nukkad Natak and Foot March through which the club aimed at making the general public aware of the injurious effects of alcohol and drugs.

Mr. Sudeep Chandra, Sr. Core Committee member & Student Head Pro Bono Club and President, Legal Aid Centre commenced the session by expressing his gratitude towards Mrs. Seema Doval, Principal of the School and Made the students aware about the Pro Bono Club scheme of Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
Further, the Members of the club explained the students about different topics pertaining to Legal Rights and Remedies.

The Principal of the school praised the work done by the members of the Club and wished for their better future and success ahead.

Lok Adalat is one of the alternative dispute redressal mechanisms, it is a forum where disputes/cases pending in the court of law or at pre-litigation stage are settled/ compromised amicably.

On 23rd August, 2023 the Pro Bono Club of Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University conducted the Orientation programme for the freshers. The event was graced with the presence of Presiding Officer, Pro Bono Club, Prof. Dr. Poonam Rawat ma'am and Faculty In-Charge, Mr. Abhiranjan Dixit sir.

The event was moderated by Ms. Pakhi Kansal who warmly welcomed the new students of Law College Dehradun.

Prof. Dr. Poonam Rawat ma'am, Presiding Officer of the Pro Bono Club, delivered a concise yet comprehensive overview of the club highlighting its significance and Importance.

Subsequently, Ms. Kanan Joshi and Ms. Srishti Vats explained the whole functioning of the Pro Bono club followed by providing a detailed explaination of the induction process.

The event was concluded by Mr. Sudeep Chandra, Student Head, Pro Bono Club giving vote of thanks and a motivating address emphasizing and highlighting the importance of the Pro Bono Club scheme initiated by Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

It was indeed an insightful session.
