“Cleaning/organising/decluttering can help us filter out the larger picture, which is overwhelmingly uncertain, by giving us something to have power over — even if it’s something as small as organising our books by color. We know the end result and we know how to get there, and that is a very comforting feeling. We like to be able to predict things, to know what’s coming.”

We humans crave for a structure, especially during times of uncertaining. We often tend to cling to familiar patterns. According to Jaime Zuckerman, a clinical psychologist, based in Philadelphia, we humans find it easier to rely on already-existing behavioral patterns than use up the extra cognitive function necessary to pause, take an inventory of one’s situation and surroundings, and make a conscious decision to engage in a new behavior....

Hope is something worth holding onto with the same conviction you would a child to keep her from being swept into a rushing river. A conviction that comes from gut purpose and a clear understanding of what drives hope in you. We so often look outside ourselves, desperate for inspiration, a sign or a miracle. Finding hope is an inside job....

“I love seeing other women succeed because it shows me that I can too.”
September is the su***de prevention awareness month and this needs to be everyone’s business, especially in these tough times. Sending hope to those who are struggling, to those who have lost hope, to those who are questioning the process, to those whose loves ones don’t ‘get it’. Remember always that no one can play your part. If you stay, it changes everything. Because if you stay, you leave room for change. You leave room for things to get better. If you stay, there’s still time to be surprised.

•Do you feel more connected by naming your things?•
Read my new blog post and share your story if you name your stuffs too!🥰
While reading and exploring on the topic, I realised people usually name things of their daily use which makes them feel more connected to their stuffs. They take care and treat them humanlike. Isn’t that something really interesting?!

We humans are like obsessed with names. We attempt to label every object and every idea that we happen to come across. In case we don’t have a name for something, we are already driven to inquire or look up to what it is, in our brain’s encyclopaedia. During the early developmental years of a child, one consequence of the attainment of speech is the relief that comes when he or she is able to name something. [ 264 more words ]

My third blog, titled “living with the pandemic” is out now. It has personal inputs and experience and so, I’m mentioning it in the title. If it interests you, I’d urge you to go to my bio and use the link to read my blog post. 💜says.hi
It’s been exactly one month and fourteen days since I gave up while writing my third blog. The reason was pretty clear : that blog was titled “Living with the pandemic”. While writing, it came to me that I’m not very okay with how things have turned out; that I’m not okay with this feeling of uncertainty. Given that, I couldn’t relate to what I was writing.
