June 5th is a date for me which holds great importance as it's my father's birthday whom I lost in my childhood and remembered every single day of my life.
I woke up and realised it was WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY.
What special could I do on this day.
I bought a lot of seeds of various trees and promised myself, would carry them in my handbag and scatter them wherever I found suitable space for their growth .
We have to go deeper and understand the WORLD WE ARE LEAVING BEHIND FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
WE ARE ALIVE BECAUSE OF THIS PLANET.
THE PLANET IS NOT THERE BECAUSE OF US.
Our basic requirements are pure food which we directly or indirectly get from GREEN PLANTS, PURE WATER AND PURE AIR.
OUR ENVIRONMENT IS OUR LIFE.
Only one day is not enough to be earmarked for GREEN ISSUES, we have to work passionately to preserve our ECOLOGY.
We have not to work for getting a name or for getting our pictures clicked, rather we have to work passionately for ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, GLOBAL WARMING AND HABITAT PRESERVATION.
It's all in our hands....to make GREEN and ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY CHOICES IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIVES.
We can be careful that our HILLS, BEACHES, WATER BODIES ETC are well preserved and we ADD TO NATURE and not spoil it by disposing plastic bags, bottles and boxes anywhere.
Vehicular pollution tops the list.
Vehicles registered in Delhi have crossed the ONE CRORE MARK.
Why can't we share rides instead of looking for our own independence.
Newspapers are giving figures of rise in the number of trees, however my recent visit to ARAVALIS was very disappointing. There were only KIKKAR trees as they can survive in worst conditions and there were construction debris strewn everywhere so that other trees are not able to survive.
IS THE NATIONAL GREEN TRIBUNAL NOT AWARE OF SUCH MASSACRE OF NATURE.
WHATEVER WE ARE EXHALING THE TREES ARE INHALING.
