Welcome to the official page of Indian Medicos Organization (IMO) at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Deoghar Jharkhand. AIIMS Deoghar was set up as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) initiative, announced by the Government of India in 2003 and officially launched in March 2006, for the purpose of "correcting regional imbalances in the availability
of affordable/reliable tertiary healthcare services", through setting up AIIMS Delhi-like institutions and upgrading government medical colleges. A proposal for setting an AIIMS in Jharkhand was first made by the local government in June 2016. In August, in response to a request by the union government to come up with several alternatives for the location, the local government announced that the preferred location is in Deoghar, although Ranchi was also considered. On 1 February 2017, in the budget presentation for 2017–2018, Minister of Finance Arun Jaitley officially announced the intent to establish an AIIMS in Jharkhand, as well as one in Gujarat. A detailed project report was prepared in July and the site in Deoghar was finalised in December. The institute became operational with the first batch of 50 MBBS students, which started in September 2019, one of the six AIIMSs to become operational in 2019. Saurabh Varshney was appointed director in March 2020 and N.K. Arora appointed president in May of that year. A second batch of 62 MBBS students enrolled in 2020. Outpatient department (OPD) services were launched in August 2021. Indian Medicos Organization is the Medical Wing of Rashtriya Samajsevi Parishad (RSP). IMO working since 2003 is a unique organization of qualified doctors and medical students of various streams of medicine ( allopathic, ayurvedic, homeopathic, Unani, Dental, Yoga, Sidha, Naturopathy etc.). It is the largest medical organization in India in this large number of doctors of various streams and discipline works together to serve the humanity. It aims to organise and motivate them for serving the underprivileged sections of the society by a process of adoption of slum areas by individual units and developing a commitment of the members for this cause. IMO organize various health camps and health awareness drive especially in rural remote and deprived areas where basic health facilities are still a big issue. IMO delegates organise blood donation camps in various parts of the country on the occasion of national blood donation day. IMO Attempts to develop a good academic atmosphere in a medical colleges through better teacher-student relationship and organising programs for National character building. Structural Framework :-

This Structural Framework is also available at State level, division level and district level with prefix of State, divisional and district respectively. Aims and objectives of IMO :-
1. National health awareness drive.
2. Conduct health camps in rural &remote areas.
3. Blood donation from time to time.
4. Mother and child health awareness programs.
5. Serve the people in disastrous and epidemic situations.
6. Self help for doctors community
7. IMO attempts to develop good academic atmosphere in medical college.
8. To promote and advance medical and allied sciences in all their different branches.
9. To promote the improvement of public health and medical education in India.
10. To maintain the honour and dignity and to uphold the interest of medical profession and to promote cooperation amongst the members thereof.
11. Conduct educational campaign amongst people of India in the matter of public health.
12. Arrange from time to time conferences, lectures, demonstrations and discussions on any aspects of medical and allied sciences.
13. Maintain a library and an organisation office.
14. Erect, maintain improve or alter and keep in repair any building for the purpose of organisation.
15. Do all such other things as are cognate to the objects of the organization or are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
