Rabindra Jayanti and Damodar Dev Tithi was observed on 8th May, 2024 simultaneously in the morning assembly. The programme started with a speech on the life and works of Damodar Dev by Bimrekha Agasty of Class 5 which was followed by a Rabindra Sangeet by our music teacher Prakash Sharma Sir. The programme concluded with a poem recitation by Ashwi Goenka of Class 12 Science.
An activity was also conducted for Sr.Secondary Students in the class."The Postmaster",a notable creation of Kaviguru was the topic for 'Reading and Discussion ' among the students.The idea was simply to make the occasion a fruitful and learning one.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Dibrugarh organized Vidyarambha ceremony for the newly admitted students of primary section.Principal Sir welcomed the parents and the students. Borgeet was presented by Manik Sir .The little students were then guided to offer floral tribute to Bharatmata and trace omkara on rice grains. Parents were higly overwhelmed and expressed their sharings about the ceremony. The programme ended with Vice Principal‘s Vote of Thanks followed shantipath.
Akash Jyoti Borah of Class 10 (2nd year NCC) represented VKV Dibrugarh NCC Unit and selected for shooting competition conducted by 10 Assam BN NCC. He will be guided and trained by 10 Assam BN NCC for his next round. Congratulations for his hardwork and all the best for next round.

Today VKV DIBRUGARH bid farewell to our four beloved teachers namely Smt. Mala Roy Talukdar, Smt Gitika Bhuyan, Smt. Manisha Saikia Gokhale and Megha Mordani Didi.These teachers had left an indelible mark on our students as well as our school.It was a heart warming event that began with Shanti Mantra followed by a beautiful patriotic song- “Dharma ke liye jiye ,Samaj ke liye jiye .”In the event Dr. Kunjalata Deori Baideu,educationist and member of VMC and Dr. Siddhartha Sharma,gardener and member of VMC was also present as invited guests.The event was marked by gratitude and nostalgia as our fellow teachers shared their experiences and uncountable memories which will be cherished and treasured for years to come.On behalf of VKV Dibrugarh parivaar ,the teachers were presented with small token of love and appreciation.
The farewell ceremony concluded with Vote of thanks by our Principal Sir Shri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar where he wished a happy and healthy life to our teachers and encouraged them to always follow the path of Swami Vivekananda-“ Arise ,Awake and Stop not till the Goal is reached.”

| In a remarkable achievement, Pushkar Agarwal, a Class 12 Commerce student from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya in Dibrugarh, clinched the second position at the State Level Youth Parliament Festival organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on February 23, 2024. This victory earned him the honor of representing Assam at the National Parliament scheduled for March.
Pushkar's journey to success began with a notable triumph at the District Level Youth Parliament Festival on February 20, 2024, where he secured the first position. This exceptional performance paved the way for his representation of Dibrugarh at the State Level event. The participation was facilitated by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Dibrugarh, showcasing the collaborative efforts to nurture and promote youth talent in parliamentary debates.
His prowess in articulation and understanding of parliamentary procedures has not only earned accolades at the district and state levels but also positioned him as an ambassador for Assam at the national stage. Saraswati Puja was celebrated on 14th February 2024 in the Vidyalaya with mirth and gaiety unlike other years. Students, past pupils, parents and well wishers offered pushpanjali to Goddess Saraswati to receive the divine blessing of the Goddess of knowledge and learning in their lives.
The devotee’s thronged in large numbers observing the rituals, contributing in maintaining the traditional fervor of the festival.

| Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh, organized the Utsarga Samaroh for students of Class 12 (Science, Commerce, and Arts) today, ahead of the upcoming HSSLC exams. The ceremony, a significant event in the school’s calendar, aimed to reunite students under one roof and instill in them the values of social life and behavior essential for their future endeavours.
The Vidyalaya Sanskriti Sabagriha, the Utsarga ceremony commenced at 10 am with an invocation to the Almighty. In his welcome address, the Principal emphasized that success is not solely dependent on academic knowledge but also on upholding certain values that should never be compromised, especially in challenging situations. The chanting of Utsargah, led by senior teacher Shri Rupesh Singh, followed suit with students actively participating in the ritual.
The event featured Shri DivyaBibhanandaji Maharaj, the present Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh, as the Chief Guest. Shri DivyaBibhanandaji Maharaj blessed the students and underscored the significance of Class XII Board Examinations in shaping one’s life. Teachers from the Senior Secondary section also provided motivation and guidance to the students for a brighter future. Additionally, some students took the opportunity to share their experiences as proud VKVians.
The Vice-Principal, R.M. Thakre, extended a Vote of Thanks to conclude the program. As a symbolic gesture of reverence, the students offered floral tributes and lit diyas in honor of Bharat Mata, signifying the culmination of the Utsarga Samaroh 2024 at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh.

Utsarga Samaroh,2024 was conducted for Class -XII (Science,Commerce and Arts) students on 10/02/2024.The program was to bring students once again under the same roof and remind them of their social life and social behaviour for their future.Every year,Utsargah ceremony is organised to remind oneself of the eternal values of Indian culture to be followed for a progressive life.
The program Utsarga or Utsarjana or “the end of the year” ceremony started at 10 a.m in the Vidyalaya Sanskriti Sabagriha by invoking the Almighty.
In his welcome address ,the Principal highlighted that success doesn't come only with knowledge of subjects but upholding certain values which one should never leave in any adverse situation.
The chanting of Utsargah,lead and follow by students was guided by Senior Teacher,Shri Rupesh Singh.
Chief Guest Shri DivyaBibhanandaji Maharaj,present Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh blessed the students highlighting the importance of Class XII Board Examinations in one’ s life.
Teachers conducting classes in Senior Secondary also motivated the students for better future.Few Students also shared their experience of being proud VKVians.Vice-Principal R.M Thakre offered his Vote of Thanks.
The program concluded with students offering floral tribute and diyas to Bharat Mata.
Celebration of Vivekananda Jayanti in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh celebrates Vivekananda Jayanti with a two-day long programme - 11th and 12th Jan’24. Set with a unique theme ‘Shree Ram’, the celebration started with an opening ceremony on 11th Jan’24. Sri Gopal Chandra Hazarika, retired Professor of Dibrugarh University Department of Mathematics, presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest in his speech, encouraged the different activities practiced in the Vidyalaya to promote the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Dignitaries, Principals and faculties of various schools, well-wishers, alumni, parents, students & teachers graced the occasion.
Programmes included Ram Stuti, Ram Bhajan, Hanuman Chalisa, Gayan Bhajan etc. based on the relevance of Ramayana’s teachings in today’s context, emphasizing values like dharma, compassion and integrity. An Ankiya Nat entitled ‘Ram Vijay’staged by the students of the Vidyalaya mesmerized the jam packed audience.
A spiritual ambience was set at the entrance with events like paying of floral tributes to Bharatmata & Swamiji.
The splendid decoration in the entire premises of the Vidyalaya created an impact on the very theme of the day, ‘Sri Ram’.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Dibrugarh organised Gita chanting competition for Adhyay 3 from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita,was held on the occasion of Gita Jayanti on dated 22.12.23, for Class KG to Class 12, in different groups.
NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY 2023
National Mathematics Day 2023 was observed in the Vidyalaya on 22nd December with full enthusiasm, The Day long programme started with an inaugural programme. Sri Gopal Chandra Hazarika, the chairman for Computer Science & Application, Dibrugarh University was the chief guest of the programme. Sir,in his speech brought to light the contribution of some of the great personalities of lndia,the life sketch of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematician in particular.
The observation aimed to create awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situations and to create students’ interest in the subject.
Keeping in view the above, various activities were designed for different standards of students.
Activities like Angle Sum Property, Movie (based on moral values and practical life) Mathematical Quiz, Puzzle, Mean, Median Mode, Pythagoras theorem were meant for classes VI, Vll & Vlll. Activities like Who ‘s the Best? Perimeter, Spin &Say were meant for classes lV & V.
And students of classes l, ll &lll were engaged in solving various simple mathematical activities.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Dibrugarh celebrated Amrit Pariwar Sammelan on 16th December 2023 in a befitting manner on how to become an ideal family as well as various other aspects which the parents need to take up for the well being of the students.
For this auspicious programme, we have invited Guest, Susomoy Purkayastha Sir Prant Amrit Pariwar pramukh, Assam Prant. A total of 67 families, 26 teaching staff, 09 Non teaching staffs and 124 members participated in the programme.

His academic qualifications include B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from KNIT Sultanpur and Post graduation in Software Enterprise Management from IIM Bangalore.
The session was engaging and informative and the students were able to get clarity on their questions related to the topic.
