Chinese man staying in India illegally arrested in Gurugram along with girlfriend from Nagaland
The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday arrested a Chinese national who had allegedly been living illegally for two years, and his Indian girlfriend for sheltering him in Greater Noida, according to officials.
According to a 'Times of India' report, the Chinese national Xue fei aka Kelay, 36, and his girlfriend Petekhrinuo, 22, from Nagaland, were arrested from a hotel in Gurugram, Haryana, by UP's Gautam Buddh Nagar Police, the officials said.
They were held on the basis of information given by two Chinese nationals, who were arrested on Nepal-India border in Bihar on Saturday by the Sashtra Seema Bal (SSB) as they were trying to cross over into the Himalayan nation after staying in India illegally, police said.
Kelay and Petekhrinuo were staying in a housing society in Greater Noida but had fled to Gurugram after they got to know that the police have started looking for them, he said. The Beta 2 Police Station in Greater Noida traced them in Gurugram and the two were taken into police custody.
"During probe it emerged that the Chinese national's Indian visa had expired in June 2020. He had forged the documents to make the figures look like 2022," Pandey said.
"He has violated the laws related to the visa and forged documents. His Indian girlfriend, who sheltered him during the process, had also helped him. FIRs have been lodged under relevant provisions of the law against both," the additional DCP said.
Kelay and Petekhrinuo were engaged in a business related to mobile phone spare parts in Gautam Buddh Nagar and nearby Ghaziabad, a senior official said.
According to the report, it was Indian woman who had arranged SIM cards for the two Chinese nationals who were staying at her residence, the official said, citing preliminary findings.

Missing Army Jawan from Manipur Found Death in Punjab
An army jawan (from Mao, Manipur) who went missing 2 days ago was found death in a suspicious manner by the Punjab Police somewhere in the border of Jalandhar and Ludhina.
Mr. L. Komuo aged 31 years from Khridziiphi village, Manipur who was serving in the Indian Army (Naga Regiment) went missing when he was on his way home for leave on 7th June 2022. Starting his journey from Leh Ladakh to Srinagar and then to Jammu. Thereafter, he moved from Jammu on 7th June by train (22318-SDAH Humsafar) towards New Delhi and was to reach Delhi on the evening of 8th June 2022 but was reported missing from the train before reaching Delhi by his friend who was also travelling in the same train in a different compartment. It was reported that he last spoke with his wife on 8th June 2022 between 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM after which his number went unreachable.

: Nagaland BJP president and state education minister Temjen Imna Along has announced that unknown miscreant has blackmailed him and demanded a lump sum amount to avoid uploading his “doctored adult video” on social media platforms.
Urging people to help him to find out the culprit involved, the state BJP president said, “I will take good care of him in our Naga style after I get to know his identity.”
The senior BJP leader has already lodged a complaint with the State police’s cybercrime wing against an unknown person for blackmailing him with a doctored adult video.
“Mostly, I have been active on social media platforms to connect with my fellow citizens and interact with them. I have also been interacting with people through video calls,” he said.
The senior Nagaland minister also said that taking advantage of his social media appearances, in order to defame his reputation, an unknown miscreant has edited his video with an adult video showcasing some vulgar scenes.
“He/she has also blackmailed me and demanded a lump sum to avoid uploading edited videos on social media platforms. If anyone receives any message as such, kindly report it to me by sending me the ID or phone number. I have already lodged a complaint,” he added.
