We are in need of donations towards our scholarship program for children from vulnerable communities in Nilakottai Taluk. The scholarship program will also help in buying stationeries, note books (long and king size), ink pens, pencils, erasers, geometry box, atlas map book, color pencils, crayons and so on to support their education. A sum of Rs. 15,00,000 is required for the purpose which will benefit 1,500 children from 30 villages. A total of Rs.1000 per beneficiary will be used to acquire the stationery items. Child Voice organised a number of events throughout the month of July, the main one being a rally for school enrollment and the value of education that took place at Musuvanoothu hamlet in the Nilakottai Taluk. The goal of the activity was to raise awareness of the value of education and encourage people to enrol in public schools in order to receive a decent education and take advantage of government programs like scholarships. There was also a manager, a field coordinator, and a facilitator at the program. The initiative benefited 1500 children and 12000 individuals in total, including the 50 school pupils who participated and the 400 participants from each community. 35 staff people managed the program.

Child Voice organised an event for the SMP Mill Nilakottai, Dindigul, Health and Hygiene Awareness Camp on July 7, 2022. The event's main goals were to raise awareness among the migrant mill employees living in the hostel and to disperse informational books on health and hygiene. There were also trained resource personnel known as field coordinators present during the activity. The activity helped 40 beneficiaries as well as migrant mill employees. Five staff members and two internship students from Gandhigram University led the program.

14 years old Selvi Priya is a resident of Avarampatti. She received food supplies from the food distribution during the covid epidemic. The family was content and had access to at least two meals per day. The beneficiary is from a low-income family with a single parent whose income was also restricted as a result of the lockdown.

A programme was held on May 28, 2022, to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day by Child Voice in 30 rural villages in the Nilakottai taluk. The program's primary goal was to educate participants and help them recognise the needs they may have during their menstrual cycle wherever they are. At the programme were the President of Sivagnanapuram, the Village Chief of Veelinayakanpatty, and an old citizen. The programme also helped 756 other people, including teenage girls. 35 staff people managed the programme.

We require donations to provide nutritional support to adolescent girls to eradicate the anaemic condition in girls in 30 rural villages in Nilakottai of Dindigul district. We will also be providing awareness on iron rich food, and balanced food to girls from poor families. A sum of Rs. 7,56,000 is required for the purpose for which 756 beneficiaries will be benefitted. A sum of Rs. 1,000 per beneficiary per month for 12 months will be utilised through which various food items like dates, greens vegetables, groundnut sweet, gooseberry soaked in honey, dates soaked in honey and millet balls will be provided. The Panchayat Board office held an Interface meeting on June 6, 2022, in Kulalalkimdu in Pallapatti. In collaboration with the public and commercial sectors, the activity's main goals were to resolve the issue of children's welfare and enhance the state of rural communities. Mrs. Yashodhai, the Panchayath President; Mr. Muthupandi, the Clerk; Mrs. Veerasundari, the Village Health Nurse; Mrs. Chitea, an employee of Angawaadi; and representatives of the Community Support Group and the Adolescent Action Group. Attending the meeting was a representative of the Adolescent Boys Group. This activity benefited 25000 people and children from 30 villages in Nilakottai. Five staff members directed the activity.

19 years old Diana is from Seethapuram, Nilakottai, Dindigul. She dropped out of the school due to the financial condition of her family as the family is being looked after by a single parent which prevented her from continuing her studies. Our organisation took the initiative to provide her with educational support. Diana is now continuing her studies.

We require donations to support the arts and crafts of children from vulnerable communities in 30 rural villages of Nilakottai Block in Dindigul district, Tamilnadu. The children are orphans, children of single parents, marginalised communities, disbaled or below the poverty line which make up for the vulnerable communities. A sum of Rs 3,00,000 is required for the purpose for which 1,200 beneficiaries will be benefited from the donation. A sum of Rs. 250 will be used per beneficiary through the donation. The restructuring of School Management Committee Members was held in the month of May 2022 at Avayampatty. The restructuring was held in the view of capacitating them. 20 School Management Committee Members were part of the activity where the School Headmistress was also present. On 29th April 2022, the Block Level Child Protection Committee meeting was held at Block Development Office, Nilakottai. The meeting was held to discuss and ensure prevention, protection and safeguarding children from various vulnerable situations. Mr. S. Annadurai along with 25 Government officials involved in safeguarding children from various vulnerable situations participated in the meeting. 8 staff members were engaged in conducting the activity.

The Child Voice Governing Body Advisory Members visited the working areas of Child Voice at Nilakottai on April 30th and May 1st 2022. The members acknowledged the efforts taken by the Child Voice team and gave suggestions and recommendations to impact better. Mr. Shiva Kumar. S along with 45 community beneficiaries from Nilakottai were also present during the visit. 36 staff members were engaged in assisting and coordinating for the visit.

K. Raveena (age 23) from Sundarapuram is one of the beneficiaries of the Women Entrepreneur Development Program (WEDP) which her mother enrolled in. The mother and beneficiary were given counselling. The mother is able to generate income through WEDP and does not depend on the daughter’s income. The family’s standard of living has also been improved and Raveena completed her education and is now employed in a private hospital in Madurai. The family is delighted and grateful to the Child Voice organisation for the help they received.

A Block Level Interface Meeting was held on 11th April 2022 at Veelinayakanpatty village. The meeting was conducted to address the children's issue and find a solution through correlating the private and government sectors and NGO's. Mr. S. Annadurai (Child Voice), Government Departments working with Children and NGO partners working for children, women and youth attended the meeting program along with 30 representatives from Government and private sectors. The meeting was aimed at benefiting children, youths and women belonging to vulnerable communities. 4 staff conducted the meeting.

Donate to provide Life Skills Training to adolescent girls and boys from vulnerable communities in Nilakottai Block. The skills training will focus on how to face challenges through the skills learned from the training to be successful and self dependent and empower them with the ability to make their own decisions in their lives. A sum of Rs. 50,000 is required to provide the training to 60 adolescents (30 girls and 30 boys). The expenditure is at Rs. 833 for 3 days of training and Rs. 278 per day per beneficiary where sanitizers and masks will also be provided to the trainees. The details of the donation are given below:

A Grama Sabha was called on 24th April 2022 in 23 Panchayats of Nilakottai Block. The Sabha was called to address the needs and issues of the village to the concerned government officials and to resolve them. The Sabha was attended by the Block Development Officer, Secretary, Village Health Nurse, Line Man, Anganwadi staff, Children Grama Panchayath Representatives, Self Help Groups, Children and Senior Citizens. The whole village was covered to benefit and develop the village in all aspects. The program was coordinated and organised by 5 full time staff and 30 part-time staff members.

The Community Support Group Block Level Federation orientation and Women's Day Celebration was held on 8th March 2022 in 30 villages of Nilakottai Block. The program was held to empower the federation members to organise and celebrate the importance of women and in all aspects of life. Mrs. Gunavathy (Block Development Officer), Mrs. Rajeswari (Deputy Block Development Officer) and Mrs. Revathi, Project Officer Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS) were present at the program. The program was also attended by 65 Community Support Group Members and women above the age of 18 in the rural villages. 34 staff members were engaged in conducting the activity.

We require donations to help provide sports materials for indoor and outdoor games for adolescents in 30 villages in Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District. The cause will help encourage girls and boys in sports and avoid getting addicted to their mobile phones. We require a sum of Rs.1,00,000 to help benefit about 700 adolescent children. 16 years old Rajeswari from S. Pudukottai started her floral garland business which she then extended by selling directly in the market. She was in debt and the Doctors identified her condition as severe depression. She underwent medical treatment and it became a heavy burden of expense for the family. She received Support from Child Voice under our Entrepreneur Development Program Support. Rajeshwari is now independent, happy and generating income on her own without any pressure.

Child Voice in the month of February 2022 conducted Village Level Child Protection Committee meetings in the 15 Panchayats of Nilakottai Block at Dindigul District. The meetings were held to strengthen the Village Level Child Protection Committee. About 200 Village Level Child Protection Committee members attended the meetings which were conducted by 30 volunteers and 4 staff of Child Voice.

We require donations for the celebration of important days during which we reach out to our beneficiaries. Our beneficiaries consist mainly of the marginalised and underprivileged children and their families in 30 villages of Nilakottai Blocks. In the month of January, a workers support group to deliberate on punctuality and perfection was held in 30 villages of Nilakottai Block. 34 staff members were engaged in the activity where about 1,500 adolescent girls and boys participated and benefited through the program.

On 24th January 2022, on the occasion of the International Girl Child Day an awareness program on “Girl child’s rights” was held in 30 villages of Nilakottai Block. The program was conducted by 30 part time and 4 full time staff members where 678 children, parents and community leaders also attended.

Abinaya (20 years old) is from Nilakottai Block. She was a beneficiary of our educational support program where she was given educational support and placement service. Abinaya completed her graduation and with a career, she was able to generate income during the pandemic. Her family is from the Below Poverty Line category but after she got her job, they are able to live a decent life and make ends meet.

Ms. Kavitha Rani, Facilitator and Rani, Field Coordinator conducted the activity where 7 garment and mill workers benefited from the program.

Awareness on addiction and overcoming substance abuse and mental health will also be provided with the donation. In the month of January, Child Voice conducted ‘Workers Support Group Formation’ in 30 different villages at Nilakottai Block. The activities were conducted to spread awareness and knowledge about their rights like working hours, overtime salary, minimum wages, Internal compliance and workers benefits like provident fund, employee state insurance, bonus etc. 30 volunteers and 5 staff conducted the activities where 350 beneficiaries from 30 v different villages were benefitted. The Field Coordinators engaged in the activities were Ms. Sivanagajothi, Ms. Mary Jenifer, Ms. Azhagurani and Ms. Saradha.

T. Rajeswari (21) is from Nilakottai. She dropped out when she was in standard 8th and was employed as a daily wage labourer. She was supported by Child Voice and given training on skills development. Post training, she got employment and is supporting her family financially. Her family belonged to the Below Poverty Line category and to have one meal a day was a challenge for them. However, Rajeswari is helping and uplifted her family’s finances through the income generated from her employment.

Child Voice distributed nutritional food supplements for adolescent girls during the Covid pandemic period in 30 villages at Nilakottai block, Dindigul district. The donation drive was conducted with the aim to balance the nutritional deficit in adolescent girls. The donation was carried out by 30 part time staff from direct field and 4 staff coordinated and 1 staff staff overall managing the activity. Altogether there were 2758 adolescent beneficiaries benefitted through this activity.Ms. Shanthi, Leader of Community Support Group, Maniyakarna also participated in the drive.

Donate to help us provide nutritional food supplements to adolescent girls in rural areas belonging to
vulnerable families. The activity will be conducted in rural villages in Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District.
The donations received will go to spreading awareness on balanced food diets, the impact of anemic
and available food resources to maintain their health in balanced conditions. The donation goal
amount is Rs. 15,200 through which 608 beneficiaries are planned to reach out to through the
program. The required amount to be spent per beneficiary for one month is Rs. 775.

On 7th December 2021, Child Voice conducted an “Adolescent Action Group Meeting” at Thoppumpady. The activity was mainly aimed to create a platform for adolescent girls to address their issues. Ms. Pudumai, Field facilitator conducted by one staff member targeting adolescent girls. Altogether 10 beneficiaries benefited from this activity.

A. Surya Prakash is a 20 years old youth from Sandalarpuram, Palllapatty, Nilakottai, Dindigul District. His family standard of living is below the poverty line. His mother is mentally challenged and his father is engaged in low income generation. His younger sister has to look after her mother and mother's medical expenses was high. Surya Prakash has to go for work to Nasik to repay his father's debt. Under “Rescue” an initiative by Child Voice helped Surya Prakash. Surya Prakash was rescued and he received a release certificate from District Collector and was enrolled in skill training (Carpenter). He is now employed in a decent working condition and provides for his family.

Donate to our cause and help us to eradicate malnutrition and anemic, prevention of dropout children and child labour. We will be providing supplementary micronutrition and education support for destitute children. The total amount needed for this is Rs. 415600 through which we will reach out to 693 beneficiaries. From 2016 till 2020 we have been working on forming groups for different stakeholders in the community to ensure the child's rights within the community. Our main intentions are to empower the sustainable community to protect girls at risk. We now include 30 Villages in Nilakottai Block, 30 part time staff and 7 full time staff involved in the activity. Around 12891 beneficiaries were reached with the help of a glorious team including Mr. Isakki Muthaiah for EDP, Legal Mr. Vijaykumar Hon Judge for legal awareness from DLSA, Child Protection officer, Mr.Nicholus from District child protection office, Ms. Rani from ChildLIne.

Our organization was founded in 1989 but was legally registered on 11, June 2011. It was founded by Mr. David Limond and his friends who were inspired to establish this organisation by the children affected by morbidity and malnutrition. Direct sponsorship program for initiation of medical camps for children's health and Crèche for tribal children. Initially, our program area was in Kodaikanal hills and extended to Palani Hills and then to NIlakottai block at Dindigul District. We majorly help children who are laborers, dropouts, runaway/street residents, bonded labour children, tribal children and children at risk. We have reached 12891 beneficiaries and constructed a school and handed it over to the Government.
