Tried out this Custard flavoured Sondesh for the coming festivities using paneer & milk for this recipe.
& it turned out so so good..
Ingredients
Milk, Custard Powder, Paneer, Condensed Milk, Elaichi Powder, Kesar.
Recipe
•Heat Milk, & reduce it in half.
•Add the custard & milk mixture in it, & keep stirring continuously until thickened.
•Next, add grated paneer, elaichi powder, kesar & condensed milk in it, & keep on mixing & cooking it, until it gets thickened & the mixture gets together.
•Keep it aside & let it cool a little.
•Apply ghee to the moulds & shape it.

•Ghee 1 tbsp
•Milk Powder 1cup
•Milk 1/2cup
•Powdered/Castor Sugar 1/4 cup
•Cardamom Powder 1/4tsp
•Semi Powdered sugar for coating
•Pistachios for garnishing
Method
•In a pan add ghee and Milk Powder and roast on medium flame while continuously stirring until golden brown.
•Add milk and keep cooking on medium heat until the mixture thickens and leaves sides.
•Next add sugar & cardamom powder and keep cooking until it thickens and leaves sides.
•Now, let it cool completely, take small pieces and shape as peda.
•Coat it with semi powdered sugar & garnish with pistachios.

You can definitely try this for the upcoming festive season, & this won't be disappointing at all.
But, this comes with a twist. Firstly, the typical mould was not available at our home.
Secondly, this is totally lactose free.
Third, & the main, this isn't made with Gud (Jaggery), instead to make the entire dish, we have used three kinds of sugar from .baking & oh God, I can't tell you how amazing it turned out.
Also, the sondesh are topped on a bed of walnut praline.

Ratha Yatra is not just a festival but a cultural extravaganza, where one can explore traditional dishes. During this 9 days long festival, 56 dishes are served to deities, known as Chhappan Bhoga.
"RASABALI" is one of the main Chaapan Bhoga offered to the deities.
It is an authentic milk-based recipe from the land of Odisha.It originated in the Baladevjew Temple of Kendrapara (Odisha).

What's better than some Chocolate Paradise mid week 😍😍
Made this easy dessert chocolate two years back by layering Chocolate sponge crumbs, Cherry compote, Chocolate coffee mousse, Shredded Chocolate.. topped with a Cherry & dusted with some Cocoa Powder ❤️ this was a treat to remember!
Although I am not a sweet tooth person, this was one of my favourites. With minimum sweetness, & loads of dark chocolate ❤️

Rasabali is one of the Chapana bhoga of Jagannath temple. It originated in the Baladev Temple of Kendrapada, Odisha, & consists of deep fried flattened reddish brown patties of chhena that are soaked in thickened, sweetened milk.
