Today I felt like talking about someone that deserves not only my respect but has TOTALLY won my heart over the last one year. He is mostly the face of evil on the silver screen, the guy who loses in the end, the guy you will hate the most when you come out of the movie theater. He is NOT a superstar in the industry he works in. But in REAL life, he IS the symbol of compassion, the face of kindness, has the stature of not just a Superstar but that of a Superhero. He is the individual that makes you believe that the world is full of good things. He is the man that is putting in all his might to save lives. He is Sonu Sood. More power to you my friend.

A good policeman can also be a true gentleman when the situation warrants. The toughest of the policemen have the softest hearts. Also, it is the responsibility of an honest citizen to cooperate with the police so that they can serve and protect you better. Take the example of the couple in Delhi who misbehaved with the police when they were stopped for not wearing masks. That is the kind of behaviour that NEEDS disciplinary action. Why would you not cooperate, when they are only looking out for your safety. Remember, during this pandemic, EACH policeman is putting himself or herself in harm’s way, every minute of every single day.

At the Mongia Foundation, we have a CEO who is VERY serious about work. I also have our Advisor who is NEVER serious about work. Our CEO NEVER misses a day of work, our Advisor, NEVER misses to disappear from work. Our CEO eats healthy and the Advisor sticks to deliciously unhealthy. Our CEO rarely goes for a movie on Sundays, the Advisor wants to go for movies on Monday mornings. Our CEO always turns up in formal attire, the Advisor turns up in designer clothes. Our CEO is always on his phone, the Advisor is always on his rubik’s cube. Our CEO has lunch in the office, the Advisor takes office to lunch. The CEO and the Advisor - my Nayak and Khalnayak. This is for all parents that are scared that their child will marry the wrong person. When they reach the age of 25, just introduce them to the person of your choice. At THAT age, they will love the FIRST person they meet from the opposite s*x. Best Dad EVER!!

Due to COVID, right now, the World is full of suffering. Mankind is practically AT WAR with this virus and its manifestations attacking us in wave after wave. Lives are getting lost, there is panic, there are families getting destroyed and our entire livelihood is in jeopardy. But this is ALSO true the human race has shown extraordinary spirit to fight back. Along with the frontline warriors, EACH one of us is fighting back with our spirit, our courage and our resilience. I hear stories EVERY DAY about extraordinary acts of compassion, bravery and humanity that are coming out from every corner in and around the world. Stories from all over the world show that “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.”

What we do for ourselves, dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and IS immortal. It can be broken down into small things like “What you can do for your parents, your siblings, your children, your friends, your neighbors, the people you work with, the people you come across”. This is why you are loved and you will remain in people’s hearts forever after you are gone.

Albert Einstein had said “Look deep into nature and you will understand everything better.” I also believe that the basis of science is nature. While we are galloping our way into the future with quantum advancements in science, let’s not forget where science originates from. Let us not forget the ground we stand on. Let’s do our little bit to do a good deed for Mother Earth everyday. It could be something AS SIMPLE AS turning off the tap when you brush your teeth or shave. Not that difficult, right?

But if left untreated, JUST LIKE physical ailments it could grow into something serious because you DID NOT have it checked up by a medical professional and a specialist in mental ailments. What’s even more heartbreaking is that most people try to ignore the mental ailment of a loved one to avoid social rebuke. I mean, REALLY? Would you prefer to have your loved one suffer to avoid what other people will tell you, or would you prefer to FIRST stop the discomfort your loved one is suffering from? You may not know, but early stages of depression is AS common as the common flu, but if left untreated can cause serious complications. And remember, your Mental Health has a drastic effect on your Physical Health.
