The telecom giant Reliance Jio, which boasts of 427.6 million customers, is rapidly scaling up its digital ad platform JioAds.

As per the available information, advertisers can promote their ads on JioAds' in-house digital properties. A Jio user consumes 17.5 hours of video content per month on average.

Just like the other digital advertising platforms, JioAds allows advertisers to set up campaigns and control total advertising costs by setting campaign start and end dates. The targeting options on the JioAds platform include Location, Gender, Age, IAB-based User categorization, Platform, Operating System, Device Brand, and Device Price Range.

We believe that Jio can utilize its own platforms to generate traffic for the advertisements and it will be a successful deal to proceed with.

Inshorts advertising model became a hit in only a few years and it became operationally profitable in 2017 while Circa on the other hand which is a short-form content portal failed to monetize its platform despite raising $5.7 million.

The platform currently has focused on non-intrusive ads, broadly divided into 6 categories out of which “60 words branded story” is the most preferred one. Whereas the most engaging formats are “Digital Magazines” and “Fact Cards”.

The digital magazine is a mix of creatives with gifs, videos, and polls while fact cards are a compilation of interesting facts about a brand, industry, or an occasional day.

Google has recently announced its 3-Strike policy to prevent unsafe or harmful ads from showing on their platforms.

The Good News here is that after the first and second strike, you can correct the violations made by your ads and then submit a form to resume the ads that were in violation. Also, the validity of the strikes is 90 days and your account will be considered to be back in good standing (granted no other violation occur.)

Google names its recent update as “Link Spam Update”. This algorithm change is effective at identifying and nullifying link spam more broadly, across multiple languages.

Important to note Google says nullify, not penalize, which means they will ignore the site’s spammy links as counting towards their backlink count.
However, if you are relying mostly on spammy links to improve your SERP ranking, you may see a drop in your keyword positions as your backlink profile slims down.
