A couple of weeks back I started a new illustration series on letters to my younger self. Here is the third letter – Life is to be lived, not investigated
While investigation has its place in understanding the complexities of our world, it should not overshadow the essence of living itself.
Analysing life situations and your role in it is definitely critical as it’ll help you identify your unconscious patterns and will allow you to take a greater responsibility of living well. But not everything is in your control, and not everything is happening because of you or to you. There is and will always be a limit to the degree of influence you can exercise on external situations. (Though you are 100% responsible for what happens within yourself - topic for another letter, hehe!).
So, sweetheart, don’t get too fixated about trying to make sense of everything – it’s futile. Rather embrace life with open arms and allow it to unravel naturally without constantly dissecting everything under a microscopic inquiry! Set aside your ideas of how things ‘should’ be and why things aren’t happening the way you ‘wished’ for, or how can you fix / alter the outcomes and make them a bit more desirable. Instead, have the courage to step outside of your thoughts, and fully enjoy the richness of the present moment for what it is.
Live totally, live wholly, live completely! You’ve got this!!

Huge congratulations to you on achieving this incredible milestone. 👏👏 🥳 Wishing you continued success! 🤩
Every once in a while, you’ll tend to get overly conscious of your looks. You’ll find yourself getting hung over things like - how your skin could have been clearer, how your hair could have been straighter, or how your dress could have been finer. When you find yourself in a space where you are turning into your harshest critic, slow down, take a deep breath and choose to be kind to yourself.
In a world often preoccupied with appearances and the pursuit of physical perfection, please remember, that true beauty need not be entirely dependent on your outward appearance. In fact, it is anchored in the kindness, the positivity, and the warmth you carry within. Embracing your uniqueness and expressing authenticity through your smile will always be far more captivating than any cosmetic enhancements.
So, on days when you don’t feel beautiful enough, instead of fretting over imperfections, accessorise yourself with your brightest smile 😊 And every time when you step outside, don’t forget to wear your smile — because it’s always in style!! You’ve got this!!
Got super excited to see very first dtyis and decided to join the celebrations:) Congratulations, Mica! 👏👏👏

Last week I started a new illustration series on letters to my younger self. Here is the first letter –
Always choose to Be in Now.
Many a times, you’ll find yourself whirlpooling in the past – what could have been done differently, why things happened the way they happened, or why did they happen to you in the first place! And when the past will be hauntingly difficult to accept, you will find yourself reeling forward into the dreams of a better future.
But what you’ll realize soon is that, if you take care of the present moment, the Now, to the best of your abilities, it’ll be much easier to accept the past (as it is) and not get too enamoured by the hopes of a non-existent future (which honestly will never pan out as per your plans 😊).
All you have is now. When you struggle to be in the Now, let your body be the hand-rail to bring you back. The mind may go all over, but the body always exist in the Now. Choose Now. Be in the Now – that’s where Life is happening, that’s where the Magic is happening! You’ve got this!!

February, often referred to as a month of love, can also be a beautiful opportunity to turn inwards and celebrate the most important relationship we have in this life – the one with ourselves. 💖
This month, I am taking a new step in my journey of self-love and acceptance, by writing and illustrating a new series: Letters to my younger self. 💌
Over the next few weeks, through simple words and illustrations, I will acknowledge my younger self’s trials, will extend my empathy to her insecurities and uncertainties, will offer words of encouragement and will appreciate her resilience and growth over the years.
This will be a journey to nurture a profound sense of love, acceptance and compassion for oneself.
What would you want your younger self to know?
Sometime back I shared a post about how being LOST between the pages of a good book is the best place to be…
This is me looking away from the book, once every while just to notice what day it is…hehe!

Winter memories :)
Delhi people have special ones… haha 😂
Can’t think of anything better!! Period.
Loosing yourself in a good book is one of the highest pleasures of human existence. A big shout out to all the book lovers and voracious readers out there!!
Time to get lost again ;)
A reminder to self - Let’s create a beautiful future by being fully present - in this very moment!
Let the bygones be bygones, loosen the grip of unfulfilled desires, unclench the heart of the past and look ahead.
Future belongs to the one who is absolutely relentless in his pursuit, in his conviction and in his hope of a better future. Keep striving!!
Commit to make your dreams a reality this year! Cheering you onwards and upwards 😊😄🖖
Happy New Year 🥳

It does make a difference in ways beyond your imagination. Anything however big or small, when done with complete involvement creates ripples of impact, not all of which can be seen or measured. Trust the process, trust yourself.
Happy creating!
Did someone say autumn is here ??!! 🍁🍂

We always have something to be eternally grateful for (though at times we may have to look really hard)😊
When days get really dark, it’s best to get out of our minds, step outside and hear the wind, see the sky, feel the rhythm of our heart and consciously remind ourselves how blessed we are.
May we find the courage to always look for that brightness 🙏

Inspiration is an elusive force - it has tremendous power to fuel creativity and drive change - yet, it isn't something that we can summon at will :) We all have been there, haven't we, when we are waiting for inspiration to strike us and get our creative juices flowing :) However, a more reliable approach to creating art begins with building an environment and immersing ourselves in our craft or endeavour, so that once the inspiration strikes we are ready and prepared to put it to good use.
Whether it's the artist at the canvas, the writer before a blank page, or the scientist in the laboratory, the act of dedicated work serves as a beacon, attracting those fleeting moments of brilliance. So, while inspiration may have an ethereal nature, its discovery is often rooted in dedicated efforts and active pursuit.
Happy creating!
