For working mothers, never deprive your baby of your breast milk...it's precious. Here's some tips for you

Dear Parents..try it👍

Now what you will do if your child develops the symptoms of COVID:

* Testing should be done as soon as possible after onset of symptoms
* If tests positive , immediately contact to your Paediatrician: He or she will categorize the symptoms whether it is a mild disease or moderate disease or severe disease and accordingly will advice

Mostly the symptoms are mild like fever , cough, sore throat, running nose, diarrhea without dehydration and
NO FAST BREATHING

Can be treated in home : Protocols of home isolation to be followed strictly

1. Hydration to be maintained. If your baby is on breast feed , continue feeding. For older child plenty of water, juice, WHO ORS can be given to maintain hydration

2. If fever present paracetamol should be used, nasal drop if nose block, cough syrup , WHO ORS & zinc for diarrhea etc.
(Again only after consultation with your Paediatrician, you should give each and every medications at proper dose according to body weight)

3. Oxygen saturation to be measured regularly

RED FLAG SIGNS ( if present immediately contact your doctor and get admitted)

1. Rapid Breeding
2. Oxygen saturation 3to 4 days
4. Lethargy or drowsiness
5. Poor feeding

Many children are being affected by COVID this time.
Symptoms mostly are fever, cough, loose stool.
Fortunately most of them are improving at Home by simple symtomatic medicines and vitamins.
Give more fluids, soups and ORS.
Watch for breathing difficulty.
Monitor SPO2 if child looks sick or breathing difficulty.
Maintain hand and cough hygiene.
To admit if looks sick, inactive, not feeding or Breathing difficulty.
Dont panic.
All will be well.

When parents should suspect that their child might get infected with COVID 19
* Fever, cough, rapid breathing. In case of older children they can complain of sore throat, headache, fatigue, tiredness
( Presence of any of the above)
Or
* Diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain
Or
* Poor feeding in small babies,
Loss of taste/smell in>8yrs child
Or
* Redness of eyes, skin rash
Or
* No symptoms but has a close/ household contact with COVID 19 case
