In the midst of the bustling gym, I find solace and strength. The weight of the dumbbells and the resistance of the machines become my allies, as I push through each repetition with determination and focus. It's not just about physical fitness; it's a mental and emotional journey too.

This Sunday, I challenge myself to reach new heights. I embrace the discomfort, knowing that it is through discomfort that growth occurs. With every step on the treadmill, every pull-up, and every yoga pose, I am sculpting a stronger body, but more importantly, a stronger mind.

Being consistent is challenging. I definitely struggle with it certain areas e.g posting to social media and practicing calisthenics. 😂
So if you want to reach a goal and be consistent, you need a plan. Any goal can be broken down into distinct action steps.
What you do may not always be "ideal" or "optimal" at first but you can build upon your actions over time and make them better.
The "all-or-nothing" mindset is killer.

Understand that having one "bad day" or "not doing it right" isn't a reason to completely throw in the towel or say swing the opposite way. Perfection isn't the expectation nor is it a requirement for success.
Sometimes we make goals based on what others are doing or what someone told us we "should" be doing.
Ask yourself some quick Q's to get clarity:
💬 What do I want?
💬 Why do I want this?
💬 What will it create for me + how will it serve me?

Get clarity and you're more likely to stay consistent.

Want to be more consistent with your nutrition, fitness, or health? Create some non-negotiables.⁣

Simple is better, less is more and flexibility should still be a thing.⁣

Keep it simple and easy.⁣
E.g. daily movement, eat veggies at most meals, nightly relaxation and etc. We want to feel 9-10/10 ready, willing and confident we can check the box and get the thing done. If there’s too many parts, you pigeon hole yourself into inaction.⁣

Be flexible.⁣
Sounds paradoxical for a “line in the sand”, but too much rigidity makes something more difficult to accomplish. Ex: I don’t care what the activity is or how long I do it. I’m just going to move every day. If I said I’m going to workout for 30 minutes each day in the gym doing X program, it becomes harder to check the box.⁣

Less is more.⁣
Too many non-negotiables is too rigid and too much on our plate. Focus on 1-2 things. Everything else is bonus. These 1-2 things will become great habits to fall back on when life gets insane (which it always will).⁣

We all know the importance of consistency. Progress doesn’t happen without it.⁣
⁣↡
For many of us being consistent is easier said than done. Yes it’s not always easy to be consistent, but it’s also not impossible.⁣
⁣↡
If we’re having difficulty with being consistent at something, we need to dig a little deeper as to why and address those issues if we want to start seeing success.⁣

I am gonna talk in my next post with a few reasons why you could be struggling. These are just gathered from my personal struggles and what I see from my clients.⁣ So stay tuned.

Stop blaming and start taking ownership. Start taking the steps to shape your environment and path or at least spend effort figuring it out or getting someone else.
Do you need to have a conversation with your partner or friends about your health goals to make sure they understand what you're doing and what support you need? Do that.

I don’t think it’s bad to check our weight. It’s just another piece of data we can use to assess the effectiveness our efforts. ⁣

However, we can definitely place entirely too much emphasis on what the scale says. And it’s totally understandable as to why. ⁣

If you’re trying to improve your health via your nutrition, you need to pay attention to all the improvements your experiencing.⁣

Many of these things can happen and the scale doesn’t move a single gram/kg. However, if you’re observing these improvements, then without a doubt, your nutrition plan is working, you’re making progress, and you’re getting healthier.⁣

Stay the course and chill out about what the scale says. It truly is only a small piece of the entire picture of your health and life.⁣

The Woman Who Stole My Life by 😍. I have started this book a couple of days back, and now i am at finishing stage of this book soon. The best part of every book I read is that every chapter I feel that i am living with it, which keeps me read more and also improves my focus. Trust me there are so many apps now a days like Wattpad/Storytel and many more which gives you online experience to listen or read, but honestly that is not good for your eyes or health like watching screens for longer hours. So best way to read and enjoy the experience read on paper.
"Reading on paper instead of an electronic screen is better for memory retention and focus."
