St. Aloysius Institute of Technology was abuzz with discussions on the transformative power of virtual reality (VR) as IIT Kanpur conducted a three-day National Workshop titled "Navigating the Landscape of Virtual Reality in Education." From February 28th to March 1st, educators, industry professionals, and researchers gathered to explore innovative approaches to integrating VR into educational practices. Prof. Dr. K.R.S. Sambasiva Rao, Vice Chancellor of Mangalayatan University, graced the event as Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of embracing VR for enhanced learning outcomes. With hands-on demonstrations and expert insights, participants left inspired to revolutionize education through immersive technologies.

The top three winners were awarded prizes, and the event was a success, providing a valuable learning experience for all involved.

On 23nd April 2023, Technum Opus, a leading technological and IT-related services company, conducted an Open Campus Drive at St Aloysius Institute of Technology. The event aimed to recruit young and talented professionals who are interested in building their careers in SAP.

The screening process began with an online aptitude test, followed by a face-to-face interview. The company was specifically looking for candidates interested in making a career in SAP. The selected candidates will be on a probation period of 6 months and will be trained on specific SAP modules.

The company will sponsor the SAP certification of the selected candidates in the module of their choice. The CTC offered by Technum Opus for the selected candidates is up to 5 Lakhs per annum.

This Open Campus Drive provided an excellent opportunity for students to kickstart their careers in the field of SAP and work with one of the leading IT service providers in the country. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who are eager to begin their journey in the world of technology.

In exciting news for diploma engineering students, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd will be conducting an open campus drive in the second week of May at St Aloysius institute of technology in Jabalpur. The renowned tractor manufacturer is looking to recruit candidates for their Nagpur Manufacturing Plant. The drive is open to diploma passouts from 2021, 2022, and 2023 in Mechanical, Production, and Automobile engineering. Candidates should be above 18 years and below 26 years of age, with a minimum weight of 50kg for males and 45kg for females. The stipend offered for selected candidates is Rs. 13,000 per month, which includes attendance incentives, subsidized food, a free uniform, medical facilities, mediclaim, and other welfare facilities. The CTC offered is Rs. 17,410 per month, which includes all expenses. This is an excellent opportunity for young engineering graduates to kickstart their careers with one of India's leading manufacturing companies.

In a successful event organized under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, an awareness program was conducted on April 15, 2023, covering various topics such as start-ups, women empowerment, agriculture, health, business, and self-reliant India. The program featured prominent speakers, including Dr. Rahul Jhariya, Mr. Pratik Dubey, Mr. Deepak Kushwaha, Mr. Mayank Sahu, Mrs. Seema Patidar, Mr. Amit Vishwakarma, Mr. Ankit Rajak, Mr. Satish Soni and special guest Ms. Shruti Upadhyay. The event was held outside the college with the permission of the respected principal, Dr. Smita Shrivastava, and was made possible by the support of many individuals, including Fr. Davis, Fr. Ben, and Mr. Satyam Sahu. The organizers expressed their gratitude towards all the speakers and volunteers who made the event a success.

St. Aloysius Institute of Technology, Jabalpur in collaboration with IIC-SAIT and EDC-SAIT is hosting a workshop on "Validation of Startups with Special Emphasis on Startup India Programme". The objective of the workshop is to provide valuable insight into the legal aspects of starting a new business in India with a special focus on the benefits offered by the Startup India program. The workshop was on April 13, 2023 and featured eminent legal experts and industry professionals as speakers. The event was for all the aspiring entrepreneurs, students and professionals who are interested in starting their own venture.
