And we are never, ever the same.

On July 29, 2023, it'll be 14 years...

Driving license issued to Maharaj Kumari Gayatri Devi of Woodlands Alipore (Cooch Behar) and valid until 19th December 1940.......!

So who needs a walking stick?!!! One of the many times when I ended up using it while Rajmata Saheb would happily move without it!

Part II of the diamond saga:
The photoshoot was wrapped up and the team left for Mumbai, very relieved that everything had worked out amicably and there were no mishaps… (when your model is Rajmata Gayatri Devi of Jaipur you are walking on very, very thin ice!)
An official launch of the product was organized in Mumbai and Delhi. Rajmata Saheb enjoyed interacting with the invitees; most of them were in absolute awe of her and went back happy when she exchanged a few words with them.

When I was working on The Last Queen of Jaipur, Rajmata Sa'ab would often ask "Do you think anybody will want to read about me?" She also wrote it on a slip of paper and told me to share it with the publishers ! This is the note in her handwriting... early 2009.
