Glycemic Index of Diet

Diets with high glycemic Index are associated with major cardiovascular events , including death .

โœ…Glycemic Index

Carbohydrate containing food vary in how will affect your blood sugar , a quality measured as glycemic index ( GI)
Low GI - less than 55
Medium GI - 56-69
High GI - 70

The GI multiplied by the amount of the carbohydrate consumed , determines the glycemic load .

โœ…Glycemic Load

Glycemic Load is another way to track glucose by considering both a foods GI and how much of it you are eating . You get GL by multiplying the amount of carbohydrates in your food by the GI and dividing that number by 100. A GL over 20 is considered high and GL under 10 is low .
