-But this was general but Thakur was talking about the worsening condition of the street lights! He in particular mentioned that Street lights in Durganagar, Dogra Nagara, Sharika Vihaar, Chaudhary Lane, Chinore , JDA Colony, Police Colony, Invitation Lane and others are all in a bad shape! The question is who has to take care of the same!

-Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love and light can do that!

-Does this thing the JMC electrical wing and Commissioner JMC know the same! He afraid they are in no knowledge of the same!

-It is not that we have not made complaints! They have been done in plenty and we have examples of that!

-first the complaints were lodged with JMC electric wing! no doubt the people used to arrive and fix up the lights!

-They (JMC had a complaint Ap and the reaction was faster! But now they conveniently say that it is a burdensome, outsized and elephantine job so the tendering has been done to the ESSL company!

-The initial offer by the company was lucrative! Obviusly the people thought that it was a better option since the offer made was that whatever the complaint is would be sorted out within 48 hours!

-In October the complaint was made to the ESSL Company but the condition of the street lights remains the same!

-Now if sources are to be believed the ESSL Company has forwarded or sub-let the contract to Midas company who further have given it to a local contractor!

-This is an administrative part of the same problem of street lights but someone has to solve the same issue?

-The JMC Commissioner knows the same

Thakur further said the following:

-Darkness is the time when many thefts and robberies happen and they are happening in the areas that are mentioned above!

-Chain and earring slashing has become a common affair in darkness and with street lights not being there the people are a scared lot to walk out of their houses!

-ward no 64is a huge Ward and it should be well lit up in the hours after twilight! But the same is not the case!

-This also means that JMC is disinterested in this Ward since they are paying no attention to the Wards!

-If Companies like ESSL, Midas and contractors are asked then they say that they are not getting the money!

-This is a paralyzed excuse! Why did these private companies take up the contract first of all!

Please help out the people, JMC Commissioner because it is your job, Thakur concluded with this statement!
