We pay our respects to one of the greatest leaders our country ever had. A leader who cut across party lines, a leader made of steel, a leader who understood and respected the dignity of the office.

But we must continue his good work. We must remember and personify what he preached, and what he stood for.

We, the organizers of the NLUJ Youth Parliament, hope that the participants will have him in their hearts when they debate in the House this weekend, and that we get to witness some truly wonderful discourse. That, perhaps, is the best way to respect his memory.

Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women, and when it does there, no constitution, no law, no court can save or protect it.

The debate in a committee is only as good as the Executive Board allows it to be. We believe that the highly experienced and profound members of the Executive Board will direct the committee in the right direction and allow for a great discourse over divisive issues.

Speaker- Vedansh Sharma

Vedansh Sharma, a final year learner at Institute of Law, Nirma University
pursuing B.A./LLb.(Hons.) with specialization in Constitutional Law is a person
who knows it all. He has been participating in MUNs and youth parliament from
past two years. He is a keen observer and masters in the art of diplomacy. He has
presented his Research project at the International Space Development Conference,
2012 organized by National Space Society and NASA in Washington D.C.
Vedansh is a poet from heart and likes to pen down his thoughts about
contemporary problems in a satirical manner.
He is also the Founding President of Institute of Law, Nirma University’s Model
Indian Parliament Conference ‘Pratinidhitva’ which was held in 2015 and has
served in the capacity of the President for the 2016 and 2017 edition of the event.
