The Grand Celebration of World Physiotherapy Day 2023 at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.

8th September 2023 will be recalled as the Most Memorable day celebrated for Dept. of Physiotherapy in JMCH, Assam since the inception of BPT & MPT courses by SSUHS, Assam.

The Program kicked off by A Skit/ Drama presentation at the Entrance of JMCH OPD Entry in presence of Prof Dr. Purnima Barua, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Pulakananda Bharali,Deputy Superintendent, Dr Munin Buragohain, HOD Orthopedic, JMCH, Jorhat Assam. The program witnessed around a massive crowed of near 100 no. of patients, attenders , students, faculty etc.

The Formal Celebration of the Physiotherapy Day was inaugurated by Prof. Dr R.K Talukdar, Principal cm Chief superintendent,JMCH. In association with, the Release of Theme event of WCPT 2023 i.e Arthritis and forms of Inflammatory Arthritis was done by Prof Dr. Purnima Barua, Medical Superintendent JMCH. The Wall Magazine name PHYSIOCHRONICLES was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Geeta Baruah, HOD, Dept of Physiology,JMCH .

The Physiotherapy Dept is also delighted to have the Honorable Dignitaries from Dept of Anatomy, Physiology, Community Medicine to make the event more joyful. The Program was Hosted by PG students of Physiotherapy namely Bandita & Manali with their tremendous anchoring skills.

The Physiotherapy Day celebration also enlighten on a Mini Academic Symposia where Dr Amrit Kumar Saikia ,Asst prof , Neurosurgery,JMCH and Dr. Kasturi Kashyap, Dept of Radiology Delivered a Talk on RA and Cervical spine & Radiological findings in Osteoarthritis Arthritis respectively.

It was an another Inch ahead celebration by inclusion of a Brain Game Session and exceptional Cultural events with Singing, Dancing and Group Performance.

The Program signifies a Thumping Event under leadership of Ankur Jyoti Bora, senior Physiotherapist cm Course coordinator of Physiotherapy, PMR along with support of Staff, Faculty, Students and interns of JMCH, Jorhat, Assam, India.

We are Thankful to the Entire Administration of JMCH for their full support for making the event a Extremendous Celebration.

The Celebration continues with another awareness camp on World Physiotherapy day 2023 by Department of Physiotherapy (PMR) , JMCH,Assam,India

This time on Janmastami,the Physiotherapy camp benefited around 25 sports athletes at Jorhat District Sports Association and Jorhat District Master Athletics Association on 06.09.2023.

The Physiotherapy team of JMCH did a comprehensiv approach of preventive measure , awareness to sport injury and acute care to the needy players.

The camp was supervised under Senior Physiotherapist of JMCH and aided with PG students of JMC, Internee & Diploma students of JMCH,Jorhat.

As a part of World Physiotherapy Day celebration,Dept of Physiotherapy had organized a Voluntary Blood Donation camp among the Students of Physiotherapy course at JMCH , supported by Blood Centre ,Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.

The Programme was inaugurated by Prof.Dr.R.K.Talukdar, Principal,JMCH in presence of Dr.Purnima Barua Medical Superintendent,Prof Dr.Munin Buragohain HOD, Dept of Orthopaedics,Dr.Bidit Gogoi , Incharge Blood Centre , Dr S P Saikia, Assistant prof Dept.of PMR, Dr. Shemim Ahmed , Medical Officer ,Blood Centre ,JMCH.

Total 17 Donor has contributed their support for this noble cause and a Mankind service to the Society .
We are thankful to all the students , staff and Blood Centre,JMCH for their support.

All the efforts and hard work A Teacher have put into bringing out the best in us can never be repaid in mere words. We can only be grateful to have a teacher who nurture the students to make a Human being to bring the light in a Society.

World Physiotherapy Day Celebration '2023 at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital,JMCH will be celebrated as An Week Long Programme with the Students of Bachelor & Masters of Physiotherapy course ,the Interns & Diploma students of JMCH along with staffs of PMR, Physiotherapy Department.

The programme emphasizes on Preventive and Acute care of Sports athletes & Geriatric care . It will also highlight on Mankind service to the society , the nature care .

As a Landmark to the Physiotherapy curriculum in JMC, Students also will get enrolled for various competitive ocassion of Sports , Quiz and Online based therapeutic creativity. The Scholars of JMC will also Demonstrate Visionary skills of Physiotherapy profession through Wall magazine, Short play/act and AV presentation.

The Day also will also be celebrated with Evidence based education by a talk from invited Speaker JMCH,Jorhat.

Further, The day of 8th September will be celebrated among students with various artistic and creative cultural participation.

An extra mileage to celebrate the World Physiotherapy day 2023 by Department of Physiotherapy (PMR) , JMCH,Assam,India

The Physio camp reach the Young Tennis player of Jorhat Tennis club on 02.09.2023. The camp include 30 tennis players with Various Sports related impairment.

The Physiotherapy team of JMCH did a comprehensiv approach of preventive measure , awareness to sport injury and acute care to the needy players .
