Glimpses from the 2nd Inter Batch Moot Court Competition

Teams engaged in intense debates, presenting well-researched arguments and demonstrating impressive advocacy skills. The judges commended the participants' in-depth knowledge of the law and their ability to articulate complex legal issues. The event fostered a spirit of healthy competition and provided a platform for aspiring lawyers to hone their courtroom skills, making it a memorable experience for all participants.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies successfully organized its 2nd Inter Batch Moot Court Competition on October 20 and 21, 2023. The theme of the competition was constitutional law, and it witnessed the active participation of 13 teams, comprising both B.A. LL.B. (Hons) and B.B. A. LL.B. (Hons) students. The participants showcased commendable research and advocacy skills. The success of this competition can be attributed to the able leadership and guidance provided by Respected Director, Dr. Shashikant Tripathi, and the faculty coordinator, Mr. Divyansh Shukla.

The Quiz Competition held under the banner of Abhivyakti'23 was a resounding success, spanning across two days on August 10th and 11th. The event served as an engaging platform for participants to test their knowledge on a diverse range of subjects, with a special emphasis on general awareness and the Indian constitution. Thirteen teams, each comprising three students, enthusiastically participated in the competition. The competition featured questions that spanned across various domains, challenging the participants' depth of knowledge and quick thinking. The energy and enthusiasm of the participants reflected their genuine interest in learning and showcasing their intellect. The audience was equally engaged and participated in the spirit of the event. Their involvement added a dynamic and lively atmosphere to the proceedings, as cheers and applause filled the air. As the quiz progressed, it was evident that the participants had prepared extensively, as they confidently answered questions ranging from historical events to current affairs and constitutional provisions. The competition was not only a test of knowledge but also a celebration of curiosity and a thirst for learning.

On August 9th, an insightful and thought-provoking debate competition was held as part of the literary extravaganza Abhivyakti'23. The event saw active participation from 31 students, each eager to engage in a discourse on the topic "Social Media is the Cause of Increasing Depression Among Youth." The event lasted for a duration of 2 hours, during which the students exhibited their eloquence and analytical prowess. The competition took place in an atmosphere charged with intellectual enthusiasm as the students delved into the complexities of the given topic. Each participant presented a unique perspective, highlighting the multifaceted nature of the issue. In conclusion, the debate competition organized under Abhivyakti'23 succeeded in fostering a platform for healthy discussion on the impact of social media on the mental health of youth. The event not only showcased the intellectual prowess of the participants but also highlighted the importance of addressing contemporary issues through informed conversations.

The ABVSLS Literary Committee is set to organize its 1st Literary Fest- "Abhivyakti'23- Where Words Come Alive* from *9th-12th August, 2023"

The fest would consist of a myriad events that would give the participants an opportunity to unleash their creativity and showcase their hidden talents.

The 4-days fest would consist of Debate, Article Writing, E-Poster Making, Quiz and Street Play/Skit Competition.

The principal of SGM International School was facilitated with the memento by faculty members of ABVSLS, CSJMU KANPUR.

A Legal Awareness Session was organised by Pro Bono Club ABVSLS, CSJMU KANPUR at SGM International School on the theme 'Child Abuse' and 'The POCSO ACT' (The Protection of Children from S*xual Offences Act, 2012).
• Where the essential information regarding Child Abuse & POCSO ACT were given to the students and also a nukkad natak was presented.

A seminar was conducted at Atal Bihari Vajpayee School Of Legal Studies, CSJMU on the occasion of WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY (IPD) where Shri. V. K Verma was invited as the Chief Guest. The guests were facilitated by the tulsi pot.

In the end, the team from PSIT College won the 1st District Moot Court Competition with the team from ABVSLS winning the Runner-Up Trophy.🏆🎓

The Chief Guest for the Award Ceremony was Hon’ble Justice Neeraj Tiwari (Prayagraj High Court) has graced the occasion on 25th March along with Mr. Rohit Pandey (Advocate High Court). The Chief Guest and the Special Guest presided over the Final round of the Moot Court Competition on 25th March 2023, where the competition started with the Lightning the lamp✨
Cheif guests also encourage the students by their words and also praise the judges of preliminary round by giving the momentos.
