There is no limit to what we can achieve! 🔥
While revising, make sure you understand what you are studying. When you have a clear understanding of something, you are likely to remember it better and be able to use it in different situations.
If you come across something that you don't understand, don't just try to memorise it. Instead, look for other sources of information that can help you understand it better.
If you're having trouble, don't be afraid to seek help from your teacher or a friend. Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. You're not alone on this journey. 🌸
Want to supercharge your exam revision? Dive into past exam papers!
Reviewing old tests not only helps you get familiar with the format and types of questions but also gives you a chance to test yourself and pinpoint areas that need extra attention.
Grab those past papers, set the timer, and challenge yourself to tackle them like the real exam.
You'll build confidence, identify strengths and weaknesses, and be better prepared to ace your exams! 💪
When you are revising for your exams, it can be tempting to stay up late and work through the night - trust me, I've done this too - but this can actually do more harm than good.
Sleep is the single most important thing our brain and body need to rest and recover. It allows our brain to create and consolidate memories, store vital information, and clear away any nasty waste that builds up over the day. Similarly, it helps our body to keep our cells healthy, protect the heart, relax the muscles and fight any infections.
Therefore, instead of sacrificing sleep for extra study time, prioritise getting enough rest as part of your study routine. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to recharge your batteries and wake up refreshed and ready to tackle your study sessions. Your brain will thank you, for sure!
Remember, taking care of yourself is as important as hitting the books. Sweet dreams, and good luck with your exams!🌸
Setting goals during exam revision is key to staying focused and motivated!
Break down your study session/day into tasks, for e.g. completing a chapter, understanding a tough concept, or finishing a practice exam paper.
Write down each goal on paper and stick it where you can see it as a reminder of what you're working towards.
And here's the best part. When you hit that goal, take a moment to reward yourself!
Whether it's having your favourite snack, spending time with friends or watching a good movie, celebrate your progress and recharge for the next study session. You've got this! 💪
✨A clutter-free environment can lead to a clutter-free mind! ✨
Take some time to tidy up your study space before diving into your books. A clean and organised space can help reduce distractions and improve focus during your study sessions. 💪
Make sure you stay away from your bed. It might seem more comfortable than studying at a table, but it can also make you feel lazy or even tempt you to sleep. It also affects your posture and strains your eyes.
If you don't have a table and chair, look for other stable surfaces around your home. You can even get creative using household items like sturdy cardboard boxes or storage bins flipped upside down to create a makeshift table. Just ensure that the surface is stable and suitable for studying.
If you prefer sitting on your floor, use a comfortable cushion or pillow to sit on and place your study materials on a flat surface in front of you. Just ensure that you maintain good posture to avoid discomfort.🌸
It's really easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of work you have to do for your exams. You can keep your stress away by getting organised, planning your time and creating a revision timetable.
Here are some tips for you to get started. 📅
Every Friday, we’ll be reposting all our mental health and well-being videos from 2020.
Here’s your flashback for today: What’s in your control? 😊
Exam stress can affect how we feel, think and behave.
Here are a few signs to look out for - remember, we are all different and stress can affect us in different ways. Once we learn to recognise it, we can then work on how to cope with it. 🌸

And that’s a wrap! 🎊 13 students, 5 days and 1 awesome play, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp! 🎭
We had a great time helping out a government school in Kochi put on a play for their annual day. From writing the script, to editing the voiceover, it was an absolute pleasure to work with these awesome students.
Acting in a second language can be hard, but they did it with such ease and made everyone, including me, feel so proud. Definitely a day to remember! 🌸
Before we can try and tackle the exam stress, it's important to understand what's causing it. When we understand the WHY, it can then help us to figure out HOW to get over it.
Take a moment to think and write down what causes your exam stress - have a look at the post to help you. You may also feel stressed for reasons that aren't listed here. We're all different and that's okay.
Next, ask yourself - Is this something that I can control? Can I do something about it? If yes, then make a plan. Try to make this as specific as possible. Answering these questions might help:
- What would I do?
- How could I do it?
- When would I do it?
For example, if you are feeling like you're not ready - you could make up a timetable, get organised, plan ahead and get started.
If your cause is out of your control, then just let it go. It can be hard at first. But try to focus on the present, on the things that you can do, on what you have in hand and let your worries fly away. 🌸
Feeling overwhelmed by exam stress is a common experience that many students share. It's important to remember that you are not alone in this.
Over the next coming weeks, get ready to learn about exam stress, what you can do about it and tips to help you prepare for your exams!🌸
All smiles after our parent and student workshop on ‘Preparing for your exams - how to cope with exam stress’. 🌸
It's really important to share your voice but it is also equally important to hear each other's voices.
There is just something very powerful in having your voice listened to – to being seen, heard and validated.
Active listening, listening with your whole body, helps you better understand another person's point of view and respond with empathy.
Take a look at the roles of your body and see if you can practice listening with your whole body next time you are in class or listening to your friend or family member. 🌸

Here’s your flashback for today: The Strengths Chain. 😊
Inspired by YoungMinds and to help with our mental health session at school, we asked our friends and family to complete this sentence:
“If I could say one thing to my 10-year-old younger self, I’d say…”
This post is all about what each of them said.
Take what you need and share, and please do leave a comment about what you would say. 🌸
For children and young adults to express themselves, they need to be given time, a safe space and encouragement (without any judgement).
We met with a group of higher secondary school students, part of the Souhrida Club, for a session on critical and creative thinking. As part of this, we asked them this question:
What one thing would you change about your school, your community, your state (Kerala), your country (India) and the world?
It was great see them put their heads together to discuss their challenges and stand tall to present their solutions. All we did was just listen.
This activity helped us to understand the problems they are facing in school and their community, as well their aspirations and outlook beyond.
Young adults and children are often underestimated for many reasons, but we need to remember that they too have a voice and a right to be heard.
PS: The principal of the school was also there - hopefully we’ll see some changes in school after this 🌸
