Dear Music Lovers,

Bharateey Sangeet Vidyalay (BSV) is a Kochi based music school promoting Hindustani Music. The school mainly teaches Hindustani Classical (Vocal), bhajans and ghazals in addition to Instrumental Music like Sarangi, Sitar, Tabla and Harmonium. The classes are given by eminent musicians and our beloved gurus, Ustad Faiyaz Khan and Sri. Krishnakumar. We have been conducting our classes online for a year now and it is being attended by students from different parts of the world.

BSV has been conducting Mehfils on a monthly basis in Kochi, thus giving our students an opportunity to perform for an august audience. Mehfils have been part of the BSV culture to aid learning through performances and promote budding musicians through Hindustani Music.

Going further, our institute has decided to invite renowned musicians to the monthly Mehfil for a social cause. The Board of Directors along with our respected Gurus and students have agreed that these Mehfils are to be conducted with a view of presenting a platform for artists who have been adversely affected during these tough times. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize their art and compensate them suitably.

As this is not a profit-making venture, it has been decided to collect nominal amounts as a "contribution" for deserving artists.
We have created a WhatApp group for all those who will be interested in joining us in this endeavour. The link to this group has been mentioned below. All our upcoming programmes will be notified in the group.
