എന്റെ അച്ഛൻ സംഘാടകൻ ആയിരുന്ന കൊല്ലം ഐശ്വര്യ എന്ന ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാടക സമിതിയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്ന നടനാണ് സായികുമാർ. അവിടെ നിന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹം തിരുവനന്തപുരം സംഘചേതനയുടെ സ്വാതിതിരുനാൾ നാടകത്തിൽ നായക വേഷം അഭിനയിക്കാനായി പോയത്. പിന്നീട് എപ്പോഴോ അറിഞ്ഞു, പുതിയ ഏതോ സിനിമ സംവിധായകർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ ആദ്യ സിനിമയിലേക്ക് നായകനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു എന്നും സ്വാതി തിരുനാൾ നാടകത്തിൽ സായികുമാറിന് പകരക്കാരനായി മറ്റൊരു നടനെ നാടക സമിതിക്കാർ കണ്ടെടുത്തു എന്നുമൊക്കെ. പതിനാല് വയസ്സുകാരൻ ആണെങ്കിലും നാടകത്തിലും കലയിലും ഒക്കെ താല്പര്യമുള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് ഇതിലൊക്കെ വല്ലാത്ത ശ്രദ്ധ ആയിയിരുന്നു . റാംജിറാവ് സ്പീക്കിംഗ് എന്ന പുതിയ സിനിമ ഇറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ കുടുംബസമേതം സായി ചേട്ടനെ കാണാനായി മാത്രം ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി, പക്ഷെ ചിരിച്ച് ഒരുവഴിക്കായതും ആ സിനിമയെ കുറിച്ച് കാലങ്ങളോളം കൂട്ടുകാരോട് പറഞ്ഞതും ചിരിച്ചതും ഒക്കെ ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഏതൊരു മലയാളിയെയും പോലെ എന്റെയും അനുഭവം ആണ്. 35 വർഷങ്ങൾക്കിപ്പുറം ഇന്ന് രാവിലെയും കൂടി എന്റെ ഒരു ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ഞാൻ റാംജിറാവു സ്പീക്കിംഗ്, ഗോഡ് ഫാദർ എന്നീ സിനിമകളിലെ ഡയലോഗുകൾ, ഉദാഹരണങ്ങളായി പറഞ്ഞു വച്ചതേയുള്ളൂ. ഒരു ജീവിതം മുഴുവൻ ഒരു ശരാശരി മലയാളിക്ക് തന്റെ വിഷമങ്ങൾ മറന്ന് ചിരിക്കാൻ, സിദ്ദിഖ് ലാലുമാർ ഒരുക്കിയ വിരലിലെണ്ണാവുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങൾ മാത്രം മതിയാവും എന്നിടത്താണ് ഇതാ കാലയവനികയ്ക്ക് അപ്പുറത്തേക്ക് നടന്നു മറയുന്ന ചിരിയുടെ ഗോഡ് ഫാദറിന്റെ പ്രസക്തി.

ബുദ്ധിജീവി നാട്യങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത സാധാരണ കഥകൾ, സാധാരണക്കാരെ ചിരിപ്പിക്കാനും ചിന്തിപ്പിക്കാനും വേണ്ടി അവർക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകുന്ന പോലെ ചമച്ച് അത്രനാളും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ലളിത രൂപവും ഭാവവും മലയാളസിനിമയിൽ കൊണ്ട് വന്ന പ്രതിഭയുടെ അന്ത്യം വേദനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

He is Rex, one among the five dogs from whom I adopted Bee which means he is Bee's brother. I feed all of them once a day for the past 6 months but has taken home only Bee for want of space.

It was some days back that a friend inside the nagar where I live told me about the plight of this one dog who has a tight pvc pipe stuck in his neck ( I still wonder how🙏) To my shock I identified that he is one among the four who waits for me every evening and since that moment I have been calling many, whom I know as helpful in such situations. Most of them couldn't help and the one who came forward was this man named Biju who works with ABCD in Kochi Corporation. While the so called Instagram and Facebook animal lovers gave only gyan, this man came down with his team and after a three night search, day before yesterday got him and could successfully remove the PVC pipe that was tearing into the poor animals neck.

Next was to get him treated. I called Sudhin Vilangadan who runs this world class pet hospital named Dr Zoo in Ponnurunni. He was all too happy to welcome the badly injured Rex. Three days down thanks to Biju and his team, Sudhin and team Dr Zoo, Rex is braving through. He must be discharged soon and then what is the question.

In a world of branded dogs and high breeds will a local guy stand a chance to be adopted by someone?

I hope someone who sees this post will want to take him home. As a dad of two local നാടൻ dogs, I can assure you that they are absolute love and unbundled happiness.

Stunner to the core, this family drama took the audience in me in it's hypnotic spell and before even I realised, I stood there looking up at those 18 holysteps and realising the inner meaning of the word, Thathvamasi 💗

Brilliant work Abhilash Pillai, Ranjin Raj, Vishnu Sasi sankar, Santhosh Varma, Saiju Govinda Kurup , Manoj K Jayan, Ramesh Pisharody, Vipin KumarV, Shameer Muhammed, Venu Kunnappilly, Ajay vasudev and everyone else in the cast and crew.

And words fail to describe the electrifying screen presence of the two child prodigies - Kallu and Piyush ❤
