Former East Bengal and Mohun Bagan footballer James Fenn dies in the US. Fenn who played Bagan in the 1960 for 3 years. He also played for Kerala Santosh Trophy , has died at Colorado Springs in the USA due to age-related problems. He was 87. Fenn was part of Rajasthan Club, playing with the legendary Jarnail Singh.In 1959 he played a year for East Bengal and then for Mohun Bagan from 1960-62. The 124th edition of the IFA shield tournament will include total 16 teams start from 24th November, 2021 in Kolkata. Five Teams are Real Kashmir FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, Indian Arrows, Sreenidhi Deccan FC, and Hyderabad FC Reserves as the invited participants. Calcutta Football League teams that will take participate in the IFA Shield tournament are Mohammedan, Bhawanipore, Calcutta Customs, United Sports, A***n FC, Khidderpore, George Telegraph, Peerless, Railway FC, Southern Samity and BSS Sporting.

The AFC Women’s Club Championship 2021 – Pilot Tournament (West) is set for another milestone when the Jordan Football Association (JFA) hosts the upcoming edition from November 7 to 13, 2021.

Four women’s clubs will participate in the tournament including hosts Amman Club, FC Bunyodkor from Uzbekistan, Islamic Republic of Iran’s Shahrdari Sirjan and Gokulam Kerala FC from India.

The opening match at the Aqaba Development Corporate Stadium will see an exciting encounter between reigning Uzbekistan champions FC Bunyodkor and Shahrdari Sirjan, who clinched the domestic Women’s Football League for the first time.

Meanwhile, first-time Indian Women's League winners Gokulam Kerala FC will face Amman Club, who recently clinched their fifth Jordan Women's Football League title.

The four teams will compete in a round-robin league format over three match days – November 7, 10 and 13 – with the top team lifting the title of the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2021 - Pilot Tournament (West).

Northeast United have announced the signing of young Indian midfielder U-17 player Pragyan Medhi .
Odisha FC have signed a new Goalkeeping Coach, Manu Patricio replaces ex-GK coach Joaquin Valerio Olivera. Manu Patricio, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has the experience of being the goalkeeping coach of various teams in Spain including Espanyol de Barcelona. He had also represented Real Sociedad and Osasuna as a goalkeeper earlier in his career.

AFC Competitions Committee discussed several options regarding the current Foreign Player Quota for the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup. While the existing 3+1 quota will continue to apply for the 2022 seasons, the Committee agreed to remove the 3+1 ceiling on the number of Foreign Players allowed for the Preliminary Registration, paving the way for any number of Foreign Players to be registered based on the domestic registration rules.

Further, the maximum number of players in the Preliminary Registration was increased from 30 to 35.

All the decisions will need to be ratified by the AFC Executive Committee to take effect.

The Hero Futsal Club Championship 2021-22, which will be held in Delhi, take place between November 5, 2021 and November 13, 2021. NorthEast United have completed the signing of 24 year-old Australian defender Patrick Flottmann. He began his career with Sydney FC’s youth team Sydney FC NPL. In the last season he was at A- League club Brisbane Roar.
Right-footed centre-back Flottmann, who mostly plays on the left side of the centre-back.

Indian Club Licensing 2021-22 results released.

"ICLS Premier 1" licenses were granted to:- Mumbai City FC, ATK Mohun Bagan FC, NorthEast United FC, FC Goa, Jamshedpur FC, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC and Odisha FC

"ICLS Premier 2" licenses were granted to:- Gokulam Kerala FC, Churchill Brothers FC and Roundglass Punjab FC.

Clubs that failed to get the respective license are as follows:- Hyderabad FC, SC East Bengal, Kerala Blasters FC, TRAU FC, Real Kashmir FC, Mohammedan Sporting FC, Aizawl FC, Sudeva Delhi FC, Chennai City FC and NEROCA FC. All these 10 clubs, after the communication of results, had an opportunity to either appeal against a possible wrongful decision, or accept the decision of the Club Licensing Committee and file for an exemption within the stipulated deadline.

A total of 21 clubs applied for respective licenses for the 2021-22 club licensing process. Indian Arrows, Rajasthan United and Sreenidi Deccan FC were exempted from applying for a license for the 2021-22 season.

AFC Cup 2021 set for thrilling final showdown in Bahrain

After an enthralling AFC Cup campaign, Bahrain’s Muharraq Club and Uzbekistan’s FC Nasaf will meet in the final, with both clubs aiming to lift the title for the second time at the Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium on Friday, November 5, at 7pm (local time).

Both sides are now one match away from repeating their previous feats with Muharraq Club – the only Bahraini club to compete in the AFC Cup – qualifying for the final for a third time, having finished runners-up in 2006 before clinching the title in 2008.

Meanwhile, FC Nasaf will return to the final for the first time in a decade after winning the AFC Cup in 2011 to emerge as the only Uzbekistan side to win a Continental club trophy.

The 75th edition of the Hero Santosh Trophy National Football Championship of India will start from 21st November, 2021.
Winners from each group from the five zones (North, South, East, West, North-east), qualify to the final round which is hosted in a central venue.
After the group phase, top two teams from each group qualify to the final round where the teams are again split into two groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each qualify for the semi-finals and the winners will meet in the Final.
