I don't know how to describe Basuda,a wonderful human being concerned about the issues of all especially workers.We Nabardians experienced it during many occasions in our difficult times.
I recollect the days Me Bhosle and Rana sitting at his office discussing about our issues and how to handle it,he patiently listening to ranas lengthy presentation and shortly reacting with crisp solutions like meeting Chidambaram the then FM, taking Kppuswamy MP leader of DMK Loksabha in delegation of MPs,arranging our meeting with kuppuswamy so on and so forth.Many times these things happen at night 10 PM and at that late ours also at least more than 50 people from different parts of country, different sectors, Beedi,Railway,Idbi ...will be waiting.
In between he will forget to take his diabetic medicine,Sumeet his secretary insisting on him to take diabetic medicine he asking him to wait...can not forget.

I learned a lot from him about silent hard work,helping people with out making noise attending to workers issues...

I still recollect his old .Silver Maruti 800,a senior MP traveling in the front seat sumeet driving
No other MP had such a small car.
Some times it brakes down too.

The respect he was commanding among leaders of all parties,like kuppuswamy,harish rawat,yashwant sinha...he utilising it for the benefit of workers including ours.

The days Bhosle Rana and me spent with him ,the troubles we have given him for our benefits
innumerable

He was instrumental in protecting our parity with RBI employyess.

We have seen the fight he have undertaken for IDBI People ,RRB ,Beedi jute ,Railways ..

I had the opportunity to be with him in many CITU meetings too,the clarity he dealt with issues was wounderfull..but unassuming,the simplicity humbleness with which he have dealt with we juniors in the organization

If I gone recollecting the memories of Basuda ,it will be so lengthy

Let me pay my and AINBEAs respects to Basuda at this painful moment

Com Basudev Acharaya former MP and an outstanding leader of Indian working class breathed his last today around 12.30 pm. He was very close to bank employees too. He made noteworthy contribution in prevailing upon Central government for achievement of second option for pension for bank employees of the country. He was always with our struggle be it at the call of UFBU or independent call of BEFI. Long live Com Basudev Acharaya. We dip our banner in respectful homage to Com Basudev Acharaya.

BEFI 42nd foundation day meeting organised on 26.10.23 at RBI HYDERABAD. Coms. S Venkateswar Reddy, AIRRBEA and Prakash Pande, Vice President deliberated on the formation of BEFI on 15.10.1982, its role in democratisation of bank employees movement, struggles and achievements during the past four decades in commercial banks, RRBs.
Com T Satish presided over the meeting, Com MV Harish formally welcomed the members and guests while Com Vara Prasad proposed vote of thanks.
