For five decades, CINI has empowered women and children on an individual and community level, to help break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and disadvantage in India.

We have been associated with CINI in India since they began in 1974, and have built a respectful, honest and authentic partnership with them. This year, CINI Team Members will self-fund their travel to Kolkata to share this remarkable milestone together.

Jharkhand State Youth Conclave, Ranchi on and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights of Young People, that was organized in Ranchi on 10th Jan'2024 by CINI, Jharkhand in collaboration with Dasra's Ab Meri Bari Campaign. The conclave was inaugurated by Shri. Bidyanand Sharma Pankaj (J.A.S), AMD, NHM, Dr. S. S. Paswan, Additonal Project Director, JSACS, CINI's Founder Secretary, Dr. Samir N. Chaudhuri, CINI's CEO, Dr. Indrani Bhattarcharyya, Ms. Yashi Jain, Team Lead - DASRA, Mr. Jaideep Deogharia, Bureau Chief, Times of India, Dr. Kaninika Mitra, CFO, UNICEF - Jharkhand and Mr. R. N. Sharma, Nodal, RKSK, GOJ. CINI's Founder Secretary, in his inaugural speech shared his vision on how he foresees the work of CINI in the next decade prioritizing the ever-changing needs of the communities and children.

A webinar on and Well-Being in Adolescents and Youths' was organised by : A Mental Health Initiative under Adolescent Resource Centre, CINI on December 28th. Dr. Siddeswara, Assistant professor (Child & Adolescent psychiatry) at LGBRIMH led a compelling discussion, underscoring the urgency of digital wellbeing. The webinar yielded valuable insights, fostering a heightened awareness of digital addiction, its impact on adolescents and youths, while emphasizing preventive measures for a holistic well-being.

Basic workshop. Teachers and special educators from elementary schools received training on Coordinator for , ADPO, Om (Kol), and ISL-trainer, MUMBAI, presented certificates to each . 46 teachers and 93 special educators who have finished the training in turn.

After twelve at Kolkata. Child representatives, UN representatives, Government officials, dignitaries and experts from all over India joined the conference.

CINI, in collaboration with (Divyangan) and , is holding a on basic for inclusive school teachers and special educators from December 11th, 2023, to December 23rd, 2023. After the completion of the first phase, 52 special educators of SSM resource rooms and 26 teachers from Government Primary Schools have received certificates for their active participation. The training is conducted by the Indian Sign Language trainer from AYJNISHD MUMBAI.

In celebration of , the employees of , Advanced Technology Centers in India (ATCI) Kolkata, generously contributed a music system with a microphone and speakers. Additionally, they shared snacks and goodies with the children at the CINI open shelter, fostering an atmosphere of joy. The employees actively participated in entertaining games and other enjoyable activities, creating memorable moments for the children.

Adolescent Health and Wellness days have been an integral component of the RKSK programme. The same was implemented in Simdega district of Jharkhand with some innovative approach to ensure increased footfalls, involvement of key stakeholders and improved service delivery. The innovations were widely accepted by the Government of Jharkhand and were also showcased in the recently concluded G20 – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) event in New Delhi. With the objective to amplify the innovations in all the 8 RKSK districts of Jharkhand, the first event was held in Simdega on 6th Dec 2023. The event was held with a formal approval and letter from the Civil Surgeon, Simdega and held in the premises of the District Hospital.

We are fortunate enough to see this transition in the attitude, spirit, and confidence of the girls from the Jama block of Dumka District. What could be the best occasion to embrace this transition than CINI@50 celebration? "खेलो बेटियों, बदलो जीवन की पहचान, फुटबॉल के मैदान से भरो सपनों की उड़ान” with this tagline Child in Need Institute (CINI) gave an exciting start to Golden Jubilee Celebration by organizing District Level Girls Football Tournament in 3 districts - Dumka, Gumla and Khunti. Dumka, one of the districts where CINI has been intervening since years in was chosen to begin the celebration. On Sunday December 10, 2023, 4 teams of adolescent girls from 3 Panchayat of Jama Block of Dumka district participated in the . The enthusiasm of all teams in the ground was incredible. The team from Bhutkoria won the match but all the and their efforts won millions of hearts.

Formulation of , 2024-25 is in process. CINI shared its experience in creation of in the District and Block level PDP workshops in and District along with handholding support to the local bodies for the same.

Team from , CINI was present in , Khoyrasole, for on and Nutrition issues. Gosthyo Mela is a famous local fair held every year in the month of November in Khoyrasole, Birbhum. CINI took this opportunity for creation of mass awareness through various audio visual IECs and sessions.

In observance of the our Chief of Programmes, Mr. Megendra Banerjee, and Dr. Swati Chakroborty, Assistant Director of the Kolkata unit, with other representatives from the CINI head office, ceremoniously unveiled the flag to inaugurate a three-day tableau campaign. The program saw active participation from numerous Deaf youths.
Over the ensuing three days, the tableau will traverse various neighborhoods in Kolkata, dedicatedly raising awareness about the crucial significance of early identification and intervention mechanisms to create an inclusive society. Emphasizing the vital role these mechanisms play in fostering inclusivity, this initiative underscores our commitment to advancing inclusivity and championing the rights of individuals with disabilities.

On , three young adults from the program were enrolled in cafeteria management training initiated by OFFER. The duration of the training is two months. Post-completion, participants will have opportunities to apply their acquired skills in Cafe Positive and various other cafeterias. This initiative aligns with our commitment to empowering individuals.

Celebrating by emphasizing the importance of adolescent sensitization on HIV/AIDS across 11 districts in Assam in collaboration with Health, WCD, Department of Home Affairs, Govt. of Assam. Knowledge is power and spreading awareness can make a significant impact in the fight against HIV. Let's unite in educating the youth for a healthier and brighter future.

Chaired by Mr. Bhor Singh Yadav, I.A.S., Director, Department of Industries, Govt. of Jharkhand, the event united Corporate Heads, Media, and Civil Society Organizations. The Conclave spotlighted successful collaborations, emphasizing sustainable models for impactful change and identifying potential collaboration areas. With enlightening panel discussions on "Civil Society & CSRs" and "Emerging Trends in Social Development," the event witnessed CSRs and CSOs sharing insights on skill development, women's participation, natural resource preservation, impact of climate change on SRH of young population and social inclusion. Diverse groups, including Government, CSRs, Media, and CSOs, converged to set the stage for future collaborations.The event was inaugurated by lightning the lamp by Shri Bhor Singh Yadav, IAS followed by CSR heads from FJCCI, CII, Usha Martin, Hindalco and representatives from Jhpiego. Nearly 30 CSO representatives, 15 CSR delegates, 6 Media Houses including Doordarshan Jharkhand participated, amplifying the Conclave's significance in shaping Jharkhand's commitment to partnerships, innovation, and inclusivity in addressing societal challenges."

According to SDG 4.2, all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.
