Most of the modern historians believe that Mahavira was born in Kundagrama. This place is now known as Baso Kund in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar state of India. According to Jainism, Mahavira lived from 599 BC to 527 AD. Western historians believe that Mahavira lived from 480 to 408 BC. According to some Western researchers, Mahavira died in 425 BC. Mahavira was considered as a preacher of peace, prosperity, purity and religion. Translation results Translation result shivratri According to Shiv MahaPurana, in the very ancient times there used to be a ruthless huntsman in Varanasi i.e. Kashidham. He used to kill a lot of animals. One day, being very late while out hunting, he lost his way in the forest and took shelter on a tree at night in fear of a violent animal. Frustrated by not getting any prey, he started tearing a leaf from the tree and throwing it down. That tree was Stone Apple Fruit (Bel ka ped). And there was a Shivalinga under that tree. That day was Shiv Chaturdashi i.e. Mahashivratri. And there was trouble too. Unbeknownst to him, the leaves fell on the head of the Shivling, as a result of which his Shivchaturadshi fast was reaped. The next day, when the huntsman returned home, he gave his food to a guest. In this one gets the fruits of his fasting. After a few days, when the huntsman died, the Yamadootas came to take him. But for the sake of the fruit of the fast, Shivchaturadshi came and fought with the Yamadoots and took away the lost huntsman. Yamaraj (God of Death) accepts that those who observe the fast of Shiva Chaturdashi and those who are devotees of Shiva or Vishnu, Yama has no authority over them. He redeemed himself. This is how Shiv Chaturdashi fast was propagated to the mortals. Seven secrets of Mahadev: (1) Snake: Snake is the symbol of being awake.
