Inspite of being an elected representative (COUNCILLOR, MAPUSA) I have realised today that the current Govt. and I must say with most disdain, the BJP GOVT. OF GOA cares for no one and is least committed to the welfare of GOANS.
Since 9/08/2021 I have been going from piller to post seeking any information with regard to the Sports event to be held at PEDDEM SPORTS COMPLEX between 26-29 August, 2021.
The Dy. Collector, Bardez informed me that no permission was granted on 2-3 occasions upon inquiry.
Yesterday on 24/08/2021 I recieved a call from the same Dy. Collector saying that permission was granted by Collector North.
As per the CM we are all under Curfew and Sec 144.
Inspite of representations to the Collector, Dy. Collector, DGP, Mapusa Police, etc to cancel the event, no action has been taken so far.
Order/SOP issued by the Office of the District Magistrate/Collector, North Goa vide Order number No.8/8/2021/MAG/L&O/Vol-11/1609 wherein Point No. 4 (e) more particularly public gatherings are prohibited is being violated by the Collector himself and the CM, concerned Ministers, Local MLAs are all silent inspite of knowing too well the consequences... So disappointed...
My Appeal to CMO Goa, Vishwajit P RANE, Collector Office Goa , @MLA - Aldona Glen Ticlo & MLA - Mapusa Joshua D'souza....
Please don't let this event be the Kumbh Mela of GOA..
