So many leaders feel they don't have time to work on being mindful because their workload is unmanageable and they have too many commitments to deliver on. The irony is that if they were willing to spend a few minutes being mindful each day, they could become better equipped to navigate their responsibilities. And as we begin to cultivate a practice to develop the qualities of mindful leadership, we begin to recognize the quality of believing that if we could just move faster, we would eventually catch up.
