“The (leader) should appoint ministers and listen to their opinion”
(1.7.9)

⁃A leader should respect his ministers (managers) and instead of giving orders listen to them.

राजा को मंत्रियों की नियुक्ति करनी चाहिए और उनकी राय सुननी चाहिए।
एक नेता को अपने मंत्रियों (प्रबंधकों) का सम्मान करना चाहिए और आदेश देने के बजाय उनकी बात सुननी चाहिए।

सहायसाध्यं राजत्वं चक्रमे कं न वर्तते ।

“Leadership can be successfully carried out (only) with the help of associates. One wheel alone does not turn”

सहयोगियों की सहायता से ही (केवल) नेतृत्व सफलतापूर्वक किया जा सकता है। गाड़ी का एक पहिया अकेला नहीं घुमता उसी तरह राज्य का कार्यभार भी अकेला राजा नहीं चल सकता ।

स्वाम्यमात्यजनपददुर्गकोषदण्डमित्राणिप्रकृत्य: (६.१.१)

कौटिल्य के अनुसार राज्य की सात 'प्रकृति' हैं अथवा सात 'अंग' होते हैं। ये अंग हैं-- स्वामी, अमात्य, जनपद, दुर्ग, कोष, दंड और मित्र। राज्य के सात अंगों को ही 'सप्तांग' कहते हैं।

A guru is someone who clears the path of all the wrong deeds from a person because the word Guru means the remover of the darkness and ignorance.

Maha Ekadashi or the eleventh day of the Lunar fortnight in the Hindu calendar is of great significance. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, each Ekadashi has a different name. The Ekadashi that falls in the month of Ashadha, Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the Moon) is called Devshayani Ashadhi Ekadashi.
Devshayani Ekadashi coincides with the Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadasi Waari Yatra in Maharashtra. It is also known as Padma, Hari Shayani, Maha Ekadashi, Devpodhi or Ashadhi Ekadashi. It is believed that Lord Vishnu goes to sleep and rises only after four months on Devutthana Ekadashi, also known as Prabhodhini Ekadashi. Hence the name Devshayani, where Dev means God and Shayani means sleep. However, the 'sleep' mentioned here is not intended to be taken in the literal sense. If one were to look at it from the prism of spirituality, it means that the Lord is in a state of deep meditation. It is believed that Lord Vishnu goes underneath the Kshirasagara (cosmic/ divine/milky ocean) and meditates while resting on Shesha Naag.

Today is Kurma Jayanti. सुरासुराणामुदधिं मथ्नतां मन्दराचलम् । दध्रे कमठरूपेण पृष्ठ एकादशे विभुः ॥ -भागवतपुराणम्, १.३.१६ When Devas and Asuras were churning the ocean, Bhagavaan supported the Mandarachal on his back in the form of a Kamattha (Tortoise), during his 11th Avatara.

Here 11th Avatara is mentioned in the context of 24 Avataras of Bhagavaan Vishnu. And Kurma Avatar (कूर्म अवतार) is called as Kachhapa Avatara (कच्छप अवतार) as well.

चित्तानित्यत्वान्मनुष्याणाम् ॥

नेता को लगातार कार्यों का निरीक्षण करना चाहिए। क्योकि मनुष्यों की चित्त-दृत्तियां सदा एक जैसी नहीं रहती है ।(2.9.2)

निरीक्षण के बिना लोग काम नहीं करेंगे क्योंकि उनका दिमाग अस्थिर होता है।

श्रुताध्दि प्रञोपजायते

“निरंतर अध्ययन एक प्रशिक्षित बुद्धि सुनिश्चित करता है।” (1.5.16)

एक नेता को लगातार अध्ययन करना चाहिए। उसे जीवन भर सीखने वाला बनना है। नियमित अध्ययन से व्यक्ति बुद्धिमान और मेधावी बनता है।

यदि (नेता) आलसी है (अपने कर्तव्यों का पालन करने में) तो प्रजा उसके धन को खा जाती है। (1.19.3)

आलसी नेता दूसरों को आलसी बना देता है। और फिर धन लेकर भ्रष्ट बन जाते हैं।

कर्मसु चैषां नित्यं परिक्षां कारयेत्,

उन्हें (नेता) लगातार कार्यों का निरीक्षण करते रहना चाहिए। (2.9.2)

एक नेता को नियमित रूप से अपने लोगों द्वारा किए जा रहे कार्यों का निरीक्षण और पर्यवेक्षण करना चाहिए।
