The designs include inscriptions in the Brahmi script. The one you see here, says Journey.
To make these stamps, we first decided few words in English. And to convert these words to Brahmi script, we had to first convert them to Hindi. It was like this..
English->Hindi->Brahmi
So Journey became Yatra and this is how Yatra is written in Brahmi (inscription is in the center of the rectangular box).
The box is added just to accentuate the overall design!

I have been carving blocks for a long time now, but never took it to the next level. I started with carving and selling handmade rubber stamps, now it’s time to take the leap & try the other aspects of this art form.

Posting something different today.. have been making some miniature watercolour paintings lately.. I am thoroughly enjoying the process.. I always had a thing for watercolours but I was always afraid to try, but now I am glad I did..!

It just comes to me organically, as if it lives within me.. even if I try to make things colourful, I will still end up adding some vintage element to them. I don’t know why or maybe I do😊
