It's all a DOWNWARD FACING DOG base posture. But all are done in different styles, different angles. Each posture has different pressure points and different benefits.
So it happens with us everywhere, in everything that we do. Minor changes in our actions or thoughts can create completely new world's for us.
Give it a thought.

A lot of us are obsessed about trying to eat PERFECTLY, in order to be slim/lean while working out. Or some just want to start their journey on eating right. It doesn't help when we get so obsessed that we count every calorie eaten. We do on compensatory starvations if eaten more on a particular day. Food ends up being the enemy. It is important to feel empowered with food, not stressed.

Who needs a great pair of shoes, when walking barefoot on grass has so many benefits?
Your dadis and nanis were absolutely right, when they advised you to walk barefoot on grass, if you wanted to have great vision. When you walk barefoot, then the principles of reflexology work. The point is that your soles are pressed harder, due to which the functioning of your organs gets regulated.
✔️It helps in preventing insomnia
If you are unable to sleep well, then instead of taking sleeping pills, try walking in the park.
✔️It helps with reduction in inflammation
Walking barefoot on grass helps to stimulate the functioning of your organs. One, due to reflexology. Second, getting vitamin D. Lastly, because of the electrons of the earth’s magnetic field.
✔️Walking barefoot on grass regulates your heart health
Walking barefoot on grass helps to synchronize your heartbeat, thus regulating your body temperature, hormone secretion, among others.
✔️It helps to improve your mental well-being
✔️It’s great for your eyes
Our second and third toe have the maximum nerve endings, which stimulate the functioning of your eyes.
I am a firm believer that we as souls have various destiny points we must live through in this lifetime, which we have designed prior to our incarnation before we ventured back into this three-dimensional world. But with these destiny points firmly implanted in our soul makeup, we also have "free will" and can choose how we will live through the situation at hand.
Life is like a road. There are long and short roads; smooth and rocky roads; crooked and straight paths. Many roads would come our way as we journey through life. Roads that lead to a life of single blessedness, marriage, and religious vocation. Roads that lead to happiness as also to sadness, roads towards victory and jubilation, and roads leading to defeat and disappointment.
Just like any road, there are corners, detours, and crossroads in life. With limited knowledge on where they would go, which road will you take? What is the guarantee that we would choose the right one along the way? Would you take any road, or just stay where you are: in front of a crossroad?
There are no guarantees. You do not really know where a road will lead you until you take it. Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that it would be returned. Gaining fame and fortune does not guarantee happiness.
Wrong decisions are always hindsight. Any decision taken ever, is the best possible one at the time. Had you known that you were making a wrong decision, would you have gone along with it? If the consequences or outcomes are good for you, then you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision was wrong
Take the risk: Decide.
Life is a matter of choices. We are making choices every day at every single step. People who decide and choose under difficult circumstances often progress in life, while those who cannot get stuck. This is also the reason some people are ultra -successful while others are not. Since life offers no guarantee and you would never know that your decision would be wrong until you have made it, then you might as well take the risk and decide. You have the choice between being a lost traveller or an accidental tourist of life.
Avoid the boxed, canned, bagged, processed, freezer foods that are easy and cheap, but not so healthy. And choose organic when you can. You know what I'm talking about. The freezer pizzas, burritos, noodles, chips, etc. Avoid these processed foods because there are often a lot of chemicals, preservatives, and ingredients that your body doesn't need. The fewer ingredients, the better. Eat fresh. Instead of a burrito, eat a sandwich with bread, cheese and veggies. Instead of ready cut fruits in plastic boxes, eat them fresh.
Snacking is GREAT. Snacks keep your metabolism up and keeps you full. Just snack SMART. Snacks keep you from getting so hungry that you over-eat at meal time. Snacks are fun. Food is fuel.
Plan ahead and take snacks with you to work, school, or to have around the house. If you don't have snacks, you are likely to grab something unhealthy, or just feel hungry. Eat fruits and easy veggies as snacks. Baby carrots, bananas, oranges, apples, grapes, etc., all of these travel pretty well.
Pack nuts!
Cheese!
Granola bars!
Remember, the fewer ingredients, the better. There are a lot of good, fresh snack options.
When you start exercising everyday and eat right, weight loss might just happen to you! Here's a tip - the best way to lose weight is to work hard, and never eat less than the amount of calories required to maintain your body weight. Working out and increasing your heart rate will keep your metabolism healthy and chugging along! However, if you are not eating enough, your metabolism will have no choice but to slow down, no matter how hard you're working out!
Skipping meals causes your metabolism to slow down in an effort to preserve its energy resources. The more you work out and the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. Our metabolisms adapt to the volume of food we eat. For example, if you switch from eating 2000 calories/day to a massively restrictive 1000 cals/day, the speed of your metabolism will respond by rapidly decreasing. Your body does this as a defence mechanism when it perceives that the body is starving.
Slow metabolism = Less fat burning.
Slow metabolism = More fat storage.
Carry a water bottle with you, wherever you go! You are less likely to make poor beverage choices. Plus, water is better for you than anything. If you are working out, you should be drinking a minimum of 8 water bottles a day! Do it to it.
Avoid sugary juices, soda and energy drinks. Sweetened beverages are high in sugar and initiate an insulin response in your body. Insulin helps to convert thecarbs (sugar) you're consuming into glycogen, which is stored in muscles, or, into fat stored in fat cells. Unless you just finished a workout and your muscles are begging for nourishment, an insulin response will tell the sugar in those sugary beverages to be stored as fat. That said, DON'T make it a habit to drink "diet" or "zero-calorie" drinks, because they are often sweetened with artificial sweeteners which (unless they are natural) are just more chemicals that are NOT good for the body.
Practice self-love in your thoughts. Be patient, since this is a new journey, a new lifestyle! If you are constantly doubting yourself, comparing yourself to others, comparing how you eat, comparing your body, your discipline, your practice, etc., you will never be happy. So literally, practice speaking kindly to yourself, be patient - especially when you are embarking on a new journey of a healthier lifestyle. Its not easy because you are trying to break old habits and replace them with newer ones. Once you make eating healthy and thinking positive about yourself into HABITS, they eventually become second nature, and making healthy choices and being happy with yourself becomes a lifestyle.
It might feel overwhelming if you think about eating healthy for a whole month or even seven days in a row. Each morning, focus on THAT day. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, not the weekend. Just today.
Be reasonable. Don't say, "I'll never again."
That might be a little crazy. However, don't be too gentle or abstract and say, "drink less soda" either. Instead, "I'll drink one soda a day instead of two for the first week." Follow it with an action: Get rid of extra soda so you don't have it around. Second week, go for one soda every second day and so on. You get the picture, smarty!

This is a question that often comes to mind... but one doesn't really ask.. the answer is just assumed. It is believed that Yoga is only for the flexible. Only those who have a lot of time on their hands. Only for those who can afford. Only those who are fit. But the answer is Yoga is for everyone. In fact, it is a necessity for all. Yoga is not just an hour of asana practice. It is a way of living.
