Kabrey HWC: NATIONAL DEWORMING DAY observed at 5 Government Schools, 2 private schools, 5 AWCs, and at outreach areas by two ASHAs under Kabrey HWC.

Along with DEWORMING, Health and Wellness Ambassadors, ASHAs and AWWs disseminated IEC on basic hygiene practices and demonstrated hand washing steps.

Total 353 children dewormed today.

02/03/2024 Mobile Village Clinic for the month of March at Upper Kabrey AWC.

Day 1: Pulse polio immunization house to house visit at various areas under Kabrey HWC.

More then 500 house holds and schools visited today on which 10 unvaccinated child found and vaccinated on spot.

Team concluded the house to house survey of every areas with successful implementation of Pulse polio immunization for 0-5years children for campaign additional protection from Poliomyelitis.

Total 171 children age group of 0-5 vaccinated with two drops of polio Vaccine.

Kabrey HWC: Reorientation on National Immunization Day, National Deworming Day, and WASH given to ASHAs, AWWs , AWHs, and Medical Attendants.

Booth planning, house to house visit along with proper marking after vaccination and during home visit demonstrated to the participants.

Instructed for proper tracking and mobilization of 0-5 children of every area, especially to give more attention to Samardung and Jholungay industrial high-risk areas.

Kabrey HWC: Day 2 CNA visit at Lower and Middle Kabrey

During the visit, BP screening of elderly HTN patients done and need based councelling provided.

New families and eligible couples were contacted for registration along with pregnancy tests of ECs, IEC on immunization/ANC, distribution of family planning methods, and routine supplementation of VIT A and IFA syrp to children.

Total 15 new households are registered today.

Kabrey HWC: Palliative home visit at Simshar lower Kabrey. Economically poor elderly patient is the old case of Leprosy now bedridden with old age illness.

Councelling given to family members for proper care and hygiene of patient along with adviced for referral to higher center. Area Panchayat contacted for financial support.

Health Educator disseminated the information on ongoing various health schemes to Sabha and talked on the theme Healthy village adopted by Karek-Kabrey GPU for FY 2024-25.

MLHP presented the brief achievements of HWC KABREY and the traget to achieve in the coming days.
Placed written requirements/demands of HWC KABREY in said Sabha.

Later awareness on Leprosy and its Eradication Program given to all the dignitaries and villagers.

VIKSH*T BHARAT SHANKALP YATRA : Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government through ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time bound manner.

VBSY reached today at Karek-Kabrey GPU on which Health and Wellness Centre, Kabrey imparted information to villagers regarding the on going various health schemes and programmes under the flagship of Government of India.

Focusing mainly on AYUSHMAN BHARAT HEALTH ACCOUNT (ABHA ID) and PRADHAN MANTRI JAN AROGYA YOJNA (PMJAY) Participants were informed about its uses and eligibility to enroll for same.

Two PMJAY beneficiaries named Shri Kul Bahadur Rai and Shrimati Sabita Rai of Karek Rubdhi ward were render with physical card of PMJAY through Hon’ble Panchayat Vice President of Karek-Kabrey GPU.

ABHA ID, PMJAY CARD, NCD AND TUBERCULOSIS screening, general and NCD OPD along with family Welfare and AYUSH OPD Services were provided to participants.

Deputy Manager (CSR) and Medical Officer (CSR) Alkem Health centre , Samardung were present to handover above items to HWC KABREY.

Health and Wellness Centre, Kabrey scored 13th position from Namchi District with the score 89.6% on KAYAKALP ASSESSMENT 2023.

KAYAKALP assessment being done every year with the thematic parameters on HOSPITAL UPKEEP, SANITATION AND HYGIENE, WASTE MANAGEMENT, INFECTION CONTROL, SUPPORT SERVICES and HYGIENE PRACTICES.

Kabrey HWC: IEC on tuberculosis to community , ASHAs and AWWs organised today at Kabrey HWC by the team of District Tuberculosis Centre, Namchi.

Good amount of crowd were sensitized on the Aim of National tuberculosis elimination programme: to end TB by 2025 , TB symptoms and its various methods of testing and treatment at PHC and tertiary hospitals.

They were also informed and sensitized about Nikshay Mitra on which individuals or communities participate in providing nutritional support to active tuberculosis patients.

Every TB free villages will be declared as TB mukth Panchayat, KABREY HWC urge everyone to support the initiative and help us to keep our community free of tuberculosis.

Ensuring Continuum of Care : Health and Wellness Ambassador of Govt Junior High School, Kaizalay distributing WIFS IFA tablets to students for winter vacation.

Parents are requested to ensure the intake of IFA tablets by their children at home throughout the winter vacation.

IFA tablets are to take once a week ( every monday) and syrp IFA twice a week 1ml Monday and Friday.

21st November 2023:

New Born Care Week ( 15th -21st November) and Social Awareness and Action Plan to Neutralise Pneumonia Successfully (SAANS ) ( 16th November to 28th February 2024) campaign .

ASHA KAREK visited home of New born baby who was underweight,prematurely delivered and was admitted at Neonatal Intensive care unit (NICU), thorough physical examination of the baby was done as per Home based neonatal care manual and by using Mother and child protection card (MCP) IEC imparted to the mother regarding exclusive breast feeding, Kangaroo care, danger signs, Symptoms of pneumonia, importance of immunization and growth monitoring of baby.

Now, Pneumonia is preventable through PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine) which is given at the age of 6wks, 14wks and at 9months.

PCV Vaccine is included on National Immunization schedule and are available at every Government health facility, immunize your child on time for prevention and protection from many life threatening diseases.

Lathergic Child with Fever , Cough, Wheezing and fast breathing can be the symptoms of pneumonia, contact your area ASHA or HWC for immediate and necessary care.

Avoiding above symptoms and treating by self medication can be fatal, always take advice of your health care provider or Pediatrician directly.

Kabrey HWC: A G3 ANC was admitted at midnight 12 am of 13th October, delivered a single live healthy baby boy weighing 3.5kg at 10 pm , all essential care including zero dose immunization given to baby and is admitted for observational care with satisfactory general condition.

KABREY HWC: Our ANCs at Samardung wasn't able to visit District hospital Singtam or STNMH because of road blockage at Samardung by a recent flood.

A High Risk Gravida 5 ANC was mobilized this morning via rough road of Jogidara Karek and was admitted at 9am with 2nd stage of labour, delivered a Single Live baby girl weighing 3.4 kg at 9.28am.

General condition of both mother and baby is stable and is admitted for observational care.
Zero dose immunization and essential care provided to baby.
